Disney Dollars Question

I remember using Disney Dollars when I was younger, but don't recall using them when DH and I were there for our honeymoon. Where do you get them? Where can you spend them?

Last time I purchased from my local disney store but if you don't have one near you can by them once you arrive. They are just like cash at Disney accepted everywhere.

Disney Dollars, unlike itchy and scratchy dollars, (in re The Simpsons) are able to be spent freely throughout Disneyland.

My heir apparent is 13, so we haven't obtained disney dollars lately, so I am not positive about their use in Downtown Disney or California Adventureland.

You can obtain them from Disneyland itself, or from any Disney Store at the nearby mall.

You can use Disney dollars in any disney owned location. They are considered as good as cash...kinda like a paper gift certificate.

They are a great way to save spending money!! When DH and I have some extra cash (or even when we're tempted to spend some we shouldn't) we go to the Disney Store and buy Disney Dollars to save for our next trip. Works like a charm, and always gets us a little more excited about our trip!

Hmmm. If you have unused Disney Dollars at the end of a trip, can you exchange them somewhere for cash? Or once a Disney Dollar always a Disney Dollar?

No, they're exchangeable..

Correct...you do not have to use Disney Dollars at either Resort. They are happy to take regular old dollars or credit cards....

they are exchangable with a receipt only. They are also spending money for another trip if you don't spend them all.

The only time we ever used them was when we stayed at the POR and we bought them from the store in the hotel. Im not sure if this still stands though

We got them from the Disney Credit Card. We put two trips on it and got enough DD to buy 4 Resort mugs with a little left over.

You call them and they send them to you it takes about 3 to 4 days to recieve.
