Oooh, I am good at offering advice on cheap places to stay! Especially since I lived in a lot of those motels at one time or another....

The Quality Inn & Suites is very very decent. It's a good choice!

My personal favorite that I tend to recommend if you're looking for something, as you said, cheap......is the Red Roof Inn on Disney Way. It looks further away than some of the hotels that are located right on Harbor, Katella, etc. but it's really only an extra 3 minutes or so of walking.

When we stayed there, the rooms always ran about $59.95 a night...they probably haven't gone up much since then. Anyway, it's a totally clean, no-frills place but we love it! Nice pool and whirlpool, vending machines, coin laundry, etc. The rooms are BIG and bright, and if you get a room on the right side of the building you can see the Matterhorn, Space Mountain, etc.!

I liked the idea that the Quality inn is so close since we'll be staying in the park until it closes...midnight...well, that's the plan at least, so I figured the closer the better!

Ooh yeah, close is always good when you're planning on making a long day of it! I will warn you of one thing though. "One block" in Anaheim is a really deceiving description. In fact, the Red Roof is going to end up being closer than that Quality Inn & Suites. As a general rule I would advise not staying anywhere that has an address other than Harbor or Katella...and check street numbers too because Harbor goes on for DAYS. The actual address of Disneyland is 1313 SOUTH Harbor Blvd, so that gives you an idea what general area to look for.

Another random one....the Alpine Inn is on Katella, right near the walkway from the Timon parking lot to the Anaheim Convention Center. (Which means, you can take the tram to Timon and it's a super short walk from there!) It's hit or miss as far as rates because sometimes they're ridiculous if there's a convention going on...but we got rooms there as low as $40 before! It's another no-frills place (and I don't like it as much as the Red Roof) BUT if you can get it for cheap, it's totally worth it!

I also recommend checking online at the Desert Palm Inn & Suites...we stayed here for our honeymoon, and while most of their rates are $120+, we snagged an online rate for $65 just cuz we happened to be looking right when they posted the special! They are farrrrr nicer than either of the other two places I mentioned.

Yup, you appear to be right. The Red Roof Inn Anaheim Maingate doesn't exist anymore. My oh my...well I doubt you're looking for a Motel 6, per se, so there are probably better options than that one after all.

I just found (on Cheaptickets) the Alpine Inn for $60 a night! It certainly won't be fancy, but we will only be sleeping there, so we're not fussy.
