DL to SNA airport...taxi or shuttle?

We'll be staying at the Alpine Inn near DL, and I was wondering if we should just take a taxi to the airport, or if something like the SuperShuttle is the best way?
How far is it to the airport?

A taxi would be the most convenient...you won't have to go anywhere else to pick up other passengers..but it might be more expensive. It is only about 20-30 minutes to/from SNA...sometimes longer depending on traffic.

We did the SuperShuttle and it was fine- it really depends on your tolerance for other people.

We were the last stop and the shuttle was full.

The driver did seem annoyed that we had the audacity to have luggage.

I'd price the taxi... but if you end up with the Shuttle, it's not a huge big deal.

Oh! I will say...DO NOT use Prime Time Shuttle

The driver was terrible, he was late, rude and I saw my life flash before my eyes at least three times between LAX and Huntington Beach

I would go with the super shuttle.

It's cheap and easy.

A taxi will cost a lot more..

The cost for a taxi should be about $35.00 - $40.00 (according to Orange County cabs website). Super shuttle is about $33.00 for two people.

I thought the shuttle was great. And I was alone when I traveled there last time. No problems at all.
