Re: Our Hotel

Such hostility!!!! I suggest visiting Man Utd school for your lovely daughter. Would you deny your own daughter the joy of seeing her favorite team just because of your little partonage towards Everton?

Tom

I just thought the story line was totally backwards, made no sense. It has been a while, and I have only been on it once, but I remember talking about it with my son afterwards that they seemed to have put scenes in place based on whether they would fit or not, rather than in order that they would happen. Oh, and the Pirates ride at Disneyland has three drops, and honestly, also a much better ride than the one at WDW.

Go Chelsea!

It looks awesome! I have honestly never had a desire to go overseas but I guess when it comes to Disney that all changes. A new Disney experience, oh yeah! I'm there! The main thing that has always scared me is the language difference. Is this difficult, or are most people willing to speak English?

Honestly, you will get by fine at DLRP in English. It is very much a European resort rather than French only. Visitors come from all over Europe and English is the common language for the non French speaking. All CM's speak French and at least one other language. I have in the past had bizarre conversations in French with CM's who turned out to be English! Many CM's are British or Irish, even some Americans and Canadians, and the vast majority speak English. All CM's wear badges showing the languages they speak and virtually all restaurants, shops etc. have signs in French and English. Most non-English CM's like the opportunity to practise their English anyway.

It actually adds to the experience when you are on the rides because the narration is usually in 2 languages. Imagine Haunted Mansion (called Phantom Manor in Paris and twice as good as WDW-because it's newer) in English AND French. It's superb. Same with Pirates and BTMRR. Both much better and bilingual.

Some shows have headphones that you tune in to your chosen language, but one or two of the stage shows are just in French.

Three drops yes, but the first is only about a metre. As for the storyline, it seems perfectly logical to me and I bet you I have been on it at least 100 times (no kidding!). But that's probably not important anyway. Everyone has a slightly different perspective on it. We felt that compared with DLRP, many of the rides at WDW seemed dated. However, that's not the most important thing either, as one of my very favourite experiences at WDW was the Carousel Of Progress, and how dated is that? I still sing that song - it annoys the heck out of my kids. Also, once you have ridden Tower of Terror, all other rides are fighting for second place in my opinion, and there's no ToT in Paris.

Chelsea? What's that????

No need to ban him for that. Glazer is going to buy them and run them right into the Nationwide. Soon Northwich will have company at the bottom of the table.

Too bad Rooney left Everton, he is going to be special some day. I would have liked to see him stay, as I am sure you would have as well.

OK, no more complaining about Pirates until I ride it again. Oh, and I heard DLP is trying to build a Tower of Terror. They don't know whether to spend the 10 Million on the ride or to pay down debt.

Think you might mean Norwich. Even Glazer couldn't get them as far down as Northwich Victoria.

As for Rooney, he was with the Blues all last year, scored only nine goals and they finished one place off the drop. Now he's gone, we've got 25 million in the bank and we're third in the Premiership. Enough said!

DLP. Forget the debt. Give us Tower of Terror!!!

Re: Our Hotel

The addition of TofT will benefit DLP ten fold than paying down the debt.

There's a great big beautiful tomorrow shining at the end of everyday....

That sounds so great. I would love to wake up in the morning and be on Main street...wouldn't matter if it were in DLP or WDW...main street in the morning is just magical.
