New Year at Disney Land Paris

HI

I have been to DLP about 15 times since it has opened but always in the Summer. This year we are thinking of going on 29th December and staying for 4 nights? DLP said we can book from 6th July.

Has anyone been at this time of year ?

We also wanted to take in the Magic of Tinkerbell dinnershow on New Years Eve, but do not know wether to take the early show (and go in the park for the New Year) or take the later show?

Please can anyone help ?

thanks

Keeley

Hi Keeley

I don't want to burst your bubble but we are big fans of DLRP and have been about the same number of times as you since 1994. We have been at many different times of the year. However, in 1997 (I think) we went from 26-30 December. It was AWFUL. Worse than Oxford Street on Christmas Eve. You could hardly move - even in the shops, and we did 4 rides in a whole day. 2 hour waits were the norm (pre fast-pass days). If that had been our first visit we would never have gone again.

However, last year we wanted to see the park at Xmas so we went from 12-15 December and it was great. Not crowded at all. I think the most crowded time of the year is between Xmas & New Year and I'd never go then. I think you too should avoid that time. If possible, go in the first 2 weeks of December - it's all done up for Xmas, not crowded and there are cheap deals on. Hope that helps.

Sorry, but I don't know anything about the Tinkerbell dinner thingy.

Allow me to translate here. As far as I can make out, Aloha is trying to tell us that his aunty's goldfish has lost its bicycle. Anyone finding it should dress up as Santa Claus and telephone the lifeguard. Hope that helps!!!

Re: New Year at Disney Land Paris

Hi
thanks so much for replying.
We can't make Christmas due to family commitments and as I teach we can't go early in December ! We thought New Year would be very busy (I have quesed 2 1/2 hours for space mountain in the past !) but we are tempted to give it ago

Do you know anyone who has been in the park on New Years Eve ?

thanks

Keeley

Tom, you are such a fool. I think that's the funniest thing I've read on DC in a long time.

Tom, vous êtes un tel idiot. Je pense que cela est la chose la plus drôle que j'ai lu sur DC dans un temps long.

hahahahaha fool translates to idiot.....not intentional my friend.

Yes I once knew someone who went on New Year's Eve. That was in 1999 and I think they are still queuing up for Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. (Not really, but they said it was nice to be there but don't count on doing many rides - chokka block!!!)

Just like to make it clear that I didn't take my kids out of school. Their Winter term finished on 9 December in 2004, about a week or two before the State schools. I'm dead against taking kids out of school for stuff like that.
