I tried to get a quote for March- it was like 2800 USD for 5 nights- how many days do you need to do it all? (For the 1st time?) what do I do???? I have to go read more- but hook me up friends- PLEASE!!!!!! thanks much T

Re: Ok- Help me or Stop Me now... Do I go to Paris???
Well first off.... GO!
Second off, if you REALLY want to stay on property and make a whole experience of it PLEASE sign up for their e-mail list. I signed up for the Disneyland Paris list and I get e-mails (in English ) on a nearly weekly basis for hotel discounts, package discounts, etc. good deals. From my research it doesn't seem ABSOLUTELY necessary to stay on property b/c the train service seems pretty fast and convenient but I've never been so who knows if I am just reading a bunch of malarky. ![]() Also, from what I understand 3-4 days would be MORE than enough. PS: research carefully on restaurant choices if you stay on property. I've heard some not so stellar things about some restaurants there.

Girl trip is ovah' & done with
. you must see our trip report. As far as I remember, which was more than several years ago, it took my flight about 6&1/2 - 7 hours to get to Charles DE Gaul or however the Paris airport is spelled. I never got to go to DL though .

GO. Necessary prep (both informational and financial) notwithstanding, you'll a) thank yourself if you do, or b) regret it if you don't. If you have the means, then it's no question. Go.

Did I mention already that I LOVE you guys????
planning is officially started! I don't even have passports for the boys and Bob so I guess March (for free stay and parks for the kids) is actually out of the question. We're on a mission friends! It starts when we say R-O-C-K-E-T ![]()

You MIGHT, knock wood, MIGHT be safe in planning for March. You're coming up on six months; with luck, that'll be enough time. But get those applications in yesterday.

Re: Ok- Help me or Stop Me now... Do I go to Paris???
You don't need to stay at the Disneyland Hotel to stay 'on property'. There are 6 Disney hotels within a ten minute walk of the park gates. Then there are a bunch of other 'non-Disney' hotels that have sprung up around the park in recent years. (Holiday Inn Express etc). The Disneyland is the flagship hotel, but in my view unless money is no object you should think about staying at one of the other Disney hotels. The experience is more about the parks than the hotels. For a mid-range Disney hotel look at the Sequoia Lodge. We have stayed there a few times as well as the Santa Fe (budget Disney - but very acceptable) and the Disneyland. Of course I don't know your means or your budget so that one is your call. In my experience the Sequoia Lodge would work out at least $1000 less for five nights - probably nearer $1500. In reality, you wouldn't need 5 nights. 3 or 4 would be enough - see below.
Ask away on this thread if you want to know anything specific about Disneyland Paris, or even Paris itself. From getting from the airport to where to buy the best hot dogs!! ![]() By the way, 3 days is more than adequate to go to both parks when it is quiet. You would spend no more than one day in the Disney Studios and two in the main park. You would see everything in that time, including shows and parades. You might also want to think about Buffalo Bill's Wild West show in the evening as that's worth a look.

Re: Ok- Help me or Stop Me now... Do I go to Paris???
My brother recently went and this was his opinion-
its a two day park. Stay onsite unless you are comfortable in foreign lands - they said that they felt more at "home" on site then they did even in the parks. And my sister in law speaks french to boot. He said that there is a very different and cold aire about a lot of the places he stayed in Paris and it was a nice change to be at the disney resort. Also he said that Micky mouse beat up some girls Dora doll and that sort of blew his mind that it was acceptable cm behavior there. Its not your American Disney...I hope this helps.

Re: Ok- Help me or Stop Me now... Do I go to Paris???
I went to Paris last July and we spent a day at Disneyland. We didn't go to the studios. I really enjoyed the park for the most part. Just remember that you need to have the right ticket to get out of the train station to get to the parks. It is a hassle and no one was able to really help at the Disney end of the tracks. If you have the wrong ticket and you can't get through, do what we did and go through the exit for wheelchairs.
