Some updates in DLRP

Hello,

Some updates about Disneyland Resort Paris:

- new show in Vidéopolis: Mickey's showtime (not my favourite show compares to the previous ones but ... there a good performers!)

- new electrical parade: Fantillusion. The official beginning of this parade was yesterday and I heard some good feedback (I will have my own idea in 2 weeks time!)

- new restaurant in the Disney Village: King Ludwig's Castle , a german style restaurant.

For those who will go to DLRP this summer, have a lot of fun!

Cheers

Anne-Catherine

UPDATES DISNEY PARIS HOPE YOU DON,T FIND OUT ABOUT

having visited disneyland paris for the last three summers I was hoping this would be the year the french finally got their act together.

LAst year our party booked to stay on disney property, when we arrived at the hotel we were told SORRY ... we have double booked your room, YOU ARE OFF SITE TONIGHT.. ( paid to be on site park is 40km plus outside paris)

spoke to hotel they were not interested, they had already booked a taxi without asking our party if we wished to be off site

Did not offer any alternative accomodation on site, due to this my party missed a park day and half day of the next having to travel to and from the off site hotel, it then took several hours and some heated debate to sort this problem out.

we were only there for 3 days.

This year we decided to give them another chance as sometimes these things happen ? well.

I dont think we should have bothered.

having waited for the rope drop, got into the park and attempted to make my way to the premium rides.

Got to frontierland only to discover another rope, the french have decided in their own wisdom that they will only be opening up fantasyland at 09.00 and the rest of the lands at 10.00

This means that frontierland, adventureland, discoveryland are all shut off with ropes barring access until 10..00 no premium or adult rides before then.
even though you have paid your full price ticket and hotel.

This was in the second week of June this Year.
I contacted Disney paris when I returned home for an explanation answer look in to the matter get back to you

French speak for ignore you and the problem, This is now the middle of July Still no responce,

something to bear in mind when visiting Disney paris the service does not match wwd.

Its actually cheaper for my party to visit wwd florida for 3 weeks than it is to spend 1 week at Disney paris due to local costing

Disney paris is only an hours flight away from our home, however as explained above our party would rather spend 10 hours on a flight to Florida than constantly have to put of with this poor level of service and disregard

sorry to be the bearer of bad news about the Disney we love and worship

indeed, I would not have liked to be off site! Personally, I never experienced that! :devil

Regarding the opening of the lands, did you go during the week? I went there in june during a week end and all lands opened at 9.00. We had that in winter. It was a Monday and PM and BTM only opened at 11.00 while the park opened at 10.00.

Where did you send your letter to? Maybe if you send it to the Guest Communication you will get an answer.

Cheers

guest services

I sent my letter to guest communication thats the problem unlike America which I have visited on four occasions, and found their customer service to be unbeatable,
the french customer services department sent me a letter telling me I would get a reply to my concerns, the only thing I have had since is a deafening silence.

From past experiences I expected nothing less from the french, their customer service is terrible.

I like many, many other are not happy about paying, for full price tickets when not all of the park is open when it should be do any of the other Disney parks have staggered opening of lands.

answer no... Then why are the french getting away with it.

not suprised that there not making much money there driving guest away with their stupid policy,s

kind regards

I wrote to Guest communication to complain about one Cast members (I'm not used to that, usually, it is to congratulate them!) but here, he was very unfriendly, very rude.

I send my letter and a few days after that, I received a phone call from someone there asking for more details about that! I explain my complaint to him and he told me they will do something.

I went back a few ago and this Cast member was still working in disneyland but he was a little bit friendly! I kknow that I was not the only one to complain about him!

I would not accept a "relocation" like that but regarding the opening hours, they open one hour later during the week because they have less guests and most of them are parents with small children!

But anyway, I understand your point of view!

Cheers!
