I need help in Disnyland..

Ok for all you DLR experts, I go their every January for my music convention, and I always stay at the Paradise Pier. This year the price was so low ($105.00 anight) it sold out and I lost out. I can get the Grand Californian for $159 a night (Downtown Disney view too!!) but I would need to buy the Annual pass for $203.00.

Do these passes have your name imprinted on them? Can they be resold. I get to WDW more than DLR, so I do not think I would be back until next January.

Any advice, the hotel is beautiful, we walked through it last year.

Disneyland is my favorite park, through the "entire" world of Disney.
Thanks for your help

Re: I need help in Disnyland..

The annual pass has your picture and name on it, so selling it wouldnt work.

Why not visit more often?

Re: I need help in Disnyland..

They (the passes) use to be like that in WDW (with the picture) but not anymore. Believe me, I will get my money's worth just the few days I will be out there. But unfortunately, I can only get out there one week a year, hopeful my convention will be a week earlier next year, and I can use my pass again!!!

Looking forward to being there soon!

Re: I need help in Disnyland..

I would love to visit more often, maybe this pass and reduced airfares will go the trick. A long 3 day weekend to DLR, sounds good - every couple of months!

Re: I need help in Disnyland..

I would definately take the GC for that price, even if you do have to buy the AP! I have stayed there twice and paid a lot more than that...it was worth every penny!

There are a few (paper) passes available for purchase that are good at all the Disney parks - CA, Florida, Paris, Tokyo...maybe they'll let you substitute? I'm not even sure where to get them - I've only seen the "good everywhere" passes in the ones that they give out as complimentary passes, but it might be worth a call to the ticketing office at DL. Explain your delimma, and maybe they'll help you out.

Re: I need help in Disnyland..

From what I have seen, the average price for that resort is about $300.00. We will def get the monies worth of the AP, even if it is only for the four days. Seeing as I will be in meetings during the day, I will get the AP for my wife, and then I can get a couple of special tickets made available at the covention center (they have after 3pm specials and two day specials).

Thanks everyone! I will have the DC pin on, maybe we'll run into someone!!!!!

Re: I need help in Disnyland..

I just noticed I spelt Disneyland wrong in my thread....that is horrible of me!!!
We are looking forward to staying there. It is our one getaway trip without children, and even though it's a bussiness trip...we have a lot of fun.
Thanks guys!

We're going in May of 2005. Last May we stayed at GC but we're thinking of PP this year. What did you think of it?

We have always enjoyed this resort, it does lack abit from the average "theme" ing of a Disney resort, but nice. It has it's own private entrance to DCA across the street, which is nice, and was very close to the Convention center for us. It has a great Japanese restuarant and character breakfasts in the other restuarant. And the views into the parks (DCA) are wonderful, and a short walk to Downtown Disney. Remember, this was bought by Disney and not built by Disney, but all in all very, very nice stay! With all the normal Disney "style" appointments.
