Re: AAA Unlimited Fast Passes

The fast system is great though it would be even better if it was only for onsite guests.
As for this AAA package. Wow!
As for the front of the line cutters, well that should be just for the make a wish foundation kids.

Re: AAA Unlimited Fast Passes

Is there REALLY a Fastpass advantage for AAA members? I booked thru Mousketrips, but I'm using my AAA discount.

Re: AAA Unlimited Fast Passes

Please note this is not valid at Walt Disney World in Orlando. The unlimited fast passes by AAA is only valid at Disneyland with a purchase of one of their packages. This was available through anyone last year by booking through Disney Travel Company, but due to legal issues with resellers, they can only offer it for one year, and then either have to discontinue the offer or give it to one reserller and only one. So, it went to AAA, since they are by far the biggest. This year, the perk is the Toon Town Madness.

While you do get unlimited fast passes, there are only a certain number of rides it is on. I agree, during busy times, it would be great. Yesterday, the park was empty, so it would have been useless. Why get a fast pass for 2 hours out when the line is 30 seconds long?

This is for Disneyland, however.

Re: AAA Unlimited Fast Passes

This is what the AAA site says:

FASTPASS Frenzy
Some of Disney's best-loved attractions offer FASTPASS service, which cuts down on time spent in lines. Stick your park pass into an attraction's FASTPASS kiosk, return during your designated time window and walk right in. A Resort Magic perk lets you collect passes for multiple attractions at one time.

It still works like a Fastpass, and still too good to be true IMO! It's not a "front of the line" pass in any sorts.

Mickey is right, sometimes a Fastpass is useless if the park isn't crowded.

Re: AAA Unlimited Fast Passes

I heard it described this way by someone who used it: You can get one fast pass for each ride that has a fast pass machine, at the same time. You can't get more than one for the same ride. Like, I couldn't get 5 passes for Space Mountain, but I could get one for Space, one for Splash, etc...
But just being able to get one for each line is worth booking with AAA since I am going during Thanksgiving week. At WDW, we spent a lot of time walking around & waiting for our fast pass time to come up. I think it's great. I read that they used to offer it with all of their tickets, then they just offered it if you bought a package with a hotel, but now it is just if you buy a Disney hotel package. So, I did. I am looking forword to getting fast passes on all of my favorite rides. And since Disneyland is more compact, I am REALLY looking forward to covering a lot of ground!

Well, I will let everyone know how it goes.

My concern that I think you might want to check into is how do you know that when you get the fastpasses for 5 rides, that your return times won't all be at the same time? Kwim?

I don't think fastpasses give a specific time, but rather a time window of (I think) one or two hours. So you would have an hour or two in which to use the fastpasses. Also my experience is that if you arrive after the window the CM's will generally let you in, but not before.

Yes, it's usually a time window of an hour or so. For 5 different rides across the park, you can't be in 5 places at once...

I'd rather have my fastpasses spread throughout the day. CM's at DL are pretty strict about the return times as well...

Re: AAA Unlimited Fast Passes

you can use fast passes any time after the time it says on the ticket. If it says 12:40-1:40 you can go on anytime after 12:40, just not before.

Re: AAA Unlimited Fast Passes

last time we went, we had some fast passes for Indiana jones that were for somewhere between 1 and 2 and we returned at 7 and they let us on and didn't even say anything. So we did it all of the rest of the trip, and did not have any problems. When we asked a CM he said it just had to be after the time stated on the ticket.

I'd be interested in hearing what dznygrl says about this - she used to work the rides. It doesn't seem too fair if this is the case! It's not supposed to be anytime after the time stated on the ticket - it's supposed to be within that time window...

Re: AAA Unlimited Fast Passes

Well, my resort & hopper package was cheaper with AAA than it would have been through the disney site, so I figure the fast pass deal is an added bonus. Even if I can't get to all the rides in the time frame, I will still be able to ride more rides per day. And since I probably won't get back to CA for several years, it will be great for us. I heard Thanksgiving week gets pretty crowded, so any type of "extra" I can get will help.
