Which tower at the DL hotel?
Which tower is the best to request? I usually like to be close to the main hub of things. Also, i noticed on the Disneyland website they don't give you the option of "requesting" a specific tower. Although, when I've booked for WDW you can get a "preferred room." How do you request this for DL?

Re: Which tower at the DL hotel?
Never stayed there myself, but I've heard the rooms in Sierra Tower offer the best location & nicest views.

Re: Which tower at the DL hotel?
Hi,
I'm heading to DL in Dec. We have made reservations for the DTD Concierge. I know we will get the sierra tower with this. If you don't do the concierge, you tell the CM reservationist what tower you prefer. As we all know, they don't guarantee this, but we have always stayed in the sierra tower, even without the concierge. I would also call about 3 day before you are set to arrive and "confirm" your reservation, ask them again to put you in the tower you prefer. The 3 towers are: Sierra: closet to Monorail, DTD, and Disneyland. Could have a Pool view or DTD view. Bonita: furthest away from above. Pool View or "city view" Main Tower: "city"view, possible Disneyland View, pool view. This is where all the shops are. Check-in is here too. Any more info, just ask Janelle

Re: Which tower at the DL hotel?
Last week, I was in the Marina Tower, which is the main buidling where check in and the shops were. I had a crappy view, overlooking the convention center and parking lots, but I could see most of Disneyland from my room. In this tower, you either see the front of the resort with parking lot or the swimming pool area. Personally, I don't like either of these views at all. I much prefer the Sierra Tower. The pool view is much better from over there (you can't see the convention center as well, and the DTD view is great, as Disneyland is in the background. I have never stayed in Bonita, but I would guess it would be similar to the Marina Tower.
I would suggest you have them add the request on the reservation, and also ask at check in.

Re: Which tower at the DL hotel?
We were at the Bonita in May & absolutely loved it. We overlooked the waterfalls about 3 or 4 floors up & it was soooo peaceful. What a way to relax after a day at the parks!

Re: Which tower at the DL hotel?
Depends on what view you are willing to pay for. The best is the Sierra tower where you either get a pool view or DTD view. My next choice is the Marina tower simply because it is the main tower where you check in and where the shops are.

Re: Which tower at the DL hotel?
I recently stayed in the Sierra tower. We had a great view of Down Town Disney and the Fireworks. We were on the 4th floor and did have one issue. There were live bands performing at DTD every evening until 10:00pm. We could hear them the bands very loudly with the windows closed. It was a distraction for my 3 year old who was trying to sleep. Other than that, we were pleased with the room.

Thank you. I think Sierra tower is going to be my request. Anything particular I should say, or just "Sierra Tower?" the bands wouldn't bother me at all, I want to see all the action.

Re: Which tower at the DL hotel?
The tower that you get depends on the room type that you pay for. Standard view will get you either the Bonita tower or the Marina tower overlooking the parking lots. Pool view can be any of the three towers and park view is most likely going to be Sierra Tower, but some rooms in the Marina Tower have DL views.
I actually enjoyed Bonita. It is the furthest away, but walking past the pool and water fountains is really relaxing at the end of the day, it is so pretty on that end of the resort! I myself don't think it is worth paying extra for a view room. The DLH rooms don't really have a balcony, so its not like you can sit out and watch everything. But thats just me, I hardly spend any time in my room!
