I am trying to so subtly
to get The Dave to take me to So Cal for our honeymoon...since our honeymoon is supposed to be a suprise for me..I went ahead and took the liberty of ordering the Planning DVD to be shipped to him...and...went ahead and signed him up for e-mail updates from DLR AND put allearsnet.com Disneyland site as our homepage..
Even if we don't go for our honeymoon, I'd like to go eventually..so where is the BEST place to stay on a honeymoon when your budget isn't endless.. And by that I mean no more than 130 dollars a night?

 I'm interested in hearing some of the answers too. I've never been to DLR, but I REALLY want to go sometime in the next 2 or 3 years...

Oh my gosh Bella! We did California for our honeymoon and it was AMAZING! There is SO much more you MUST do besides DL. You'd definately have to sightsee around the LA area, Santa Monica, and Venice Beach. It would be CRIMINAL not to take the AMAZING coastal highway 1 drive to the Big Sur, Monterey, and Carmel. They have some BEAUTIFUL lodges up there that are pretty affordable (we did Big Sur Lodge).
Around the DL area there are a lot off offsite DL area hotels, they call them "Good Neighbor" hotels and you can find them on-line. We didn't stay at a DL hotel on our honeymoon. We stayed at the Loew's on Santa Monica beach, and did all the driving. It's really nto that far. There are also a lot of cute hotels in that area that I think you'd love! Do some searching on-line. It's GREAT there. That would be awesome if you got to go!

In the immediate DL area, other than the Disney owned properties there really isn't too much as far as resorts--but there are lots and lots of motels to Marriott Courtyard type properties. Of the larger hotels, the Hilton gets great reviews and good rates through Mousesavers.com, and I see good $115-ish rates at the Sheraton in Anaheim (and the Sheraton has it's own shuttle) from time to time on Expedia. October is a big convention month in Anaheim, so you might want to google a convention calendar. The weather in October is near perfect across the state  If you, I mean, the Dave needs info about CA, I'd be happy to shoot off my mouth

LOL! Daisyd I was just coming in here to write about how the Candy Cane Innis the best hotel ever!!! (after the Disney resorts of course)

Why be subtle? Most guys aren't so great at picking up on hints. (sorry, guys!) I would just tell him that you would like to go there. If you don't you might end up somewhere you really don't want to be.
