Once you have stayed on property, you will NEVER want to stay off site.......

She's not in Disneyland. Her signature is from when she came to see me at the World a few weeks ago.

A good reason to stay at the resort, besides being enveloped in Disney magic, is because many of the neighborhoods surronding Disneyland are a little questionable. Especially just north of the freeway. My son's real Grandma lives near there and you really have to watch where you are going. If you are going to stay off property, make sure it's in the same vicinity of the park, preferably one of the hotels closer to the main gate.

Re: Please sell me on Disneyland Resort, Please!

We stayed at DL back in February. the decor of the room is what made it for me! Now I just love GC when we stayed there, but DL, was just beautiful! the armoire where the TV is housed has an old picture of the park on it. You have a nice walk over to the parks. When we go we always stay onsite no matter what park we go to. It's part of the ambience of going! I'm glad you are staying there even if it's just for a couple of days! Check out down in the lobby area by the banquet rooms, there's all kinds of old pictures to check out!! ENJOY!!!

To me ... if you have never stayed on the resort property before ... then I say go for it and give it a try.

But as the room for me has just become a place to crash from all day in the parks, I try and save a bit (a large bit these days) by staying off-site.

Re: Please sell me on Disneyland Resort, Please!

I love staying at the DLR hotels when we can afford it.
We've stayed at all three, GCH, DLH and PPH.
GCH is our favorite esp since it's so close, DLH has a great pool for the kids and has more DL theming.

When we need to be thrifty we stay across the street at Hojo's. It's about the same walking distance as DLH and just as nice minus the theming.

I have not been to DL Resort in a little over 6/7 years. But it was great being so close to Disnelyland (and only a monorail ride away). And staying onsite, we were able to take the monorail back to the resort in the afternoon, swim aliitle and go back to the park. It is worth the stay simply for the convenience.
