I have a teensy bit more specific information on this subject. Ariel will still be there, yes...and in confirmation, it will just be princesses. No more Mickey and friends () unless a princess cannot make it for some reason...then they may throw in a random friend.

The biggest reason behind this change is because guests were finding it very frustrating to try and visit Ariel when she was stuck in one spot...it was like lining up to meet her over in DL at Triton's Gardens, which anyone can do for free! Also it became exceedingly difficult to wheel Ariel in and out of the restaurant in her shell throne...they had to repaint it a lot because it the paint was getting chipped as they hit doorways on the way in and out!

I can't 100% confirm that Ariel will be greeting guests on 2 legs, but it sounds like the direction they are heading. Ariel was the main attraction, and they found that a lot of people were disappointed with having to get out of their seats and wait in line to see her. Sooooo...hopefully we'll see a landlubber Ariel, and lots of her princess friends!
