Re: Club 33 pics

The decor is not at all cheesy in person. Those pictures don't even begin to do it justice...in fact, they're pretty awful.

Truly, upon first impression, the Club is breathtaking inside. The lighting is just right and everything seems to sparkle. It's like stepping into a whole other world, especially considering that a bustling theme park is right below you. It's surreal.

When I visited the Club, I was wearing jeans and a sweatshirt and felt SO AWFUL.....until I started seeing the guests actually dining there. I was there during the day and Ryan's right, it's pretty informal. (Yes, there are people with fanny packs and the whole bit!) It's kind of a mish-mash...some people really seem to respect where they're at, and they dress for the occasion. Others just pop in from their theme park touring, sweaty t-shirts and all. Oh well!

I can't wait to have the opportunity to eat there. My dear hubby gets to try the food all the time. Lucky duck.

That is truly AMAZING...and something to remember forever.

I enjoyed the decor when I ate there, but then, that was about seven years ago. I was on the waiting list for five years before my name came up, but by then I couldn't afford the going rate..

Though, to be honest, we got to go inside the lobby during the walk in Walt's footsteps tour.. Just as nice as I remember it..

DH and I would like to get on the waiting list if we ever leave, but I have a feeling the same thing would happen to us...wait years for our name to come up and then be like, "Uh...do you give any 'former cast member' discounts?" LOL

Re: Club 33 pics

I was thinking of the celebs I have met and wanted to give you all a tally:

Ryan Cabrera (twice)
Cameron Crowe and his wife (Ann Wilson of the band Heart)
Lee Iacocca (helped design the Ford Mustang)
Roy E. Disney
Scarlett Johannsen
Marty Sklar (head of Disney Imagineering--not really a celeb...)
Eric Sardinas (famous guitar player)
Joe Escalante (bassist for local legend band The Vandals)

Um, I think that's it....I missed Paul McCartney by about an hour, and Neal Diamond is scheduled to come in sometime this week.

(Sorry if this bores you, I am totally starstruck!)

That is SOOOOOO awesome. It must have been so great meeting him. I've heard he is just the nicest guy. My MIL is a manager on Main St in WDW, and she met him in a board meeting a couple years ago and she said the exact same thing you said about calling people by name. She said it was like he'd known her for years... Very cool...
