Re: NEW Blue Bayou menu!!

Wow, that is a whole lotta pricey and heavy food for lunch time!

They're not going to be loving me when we go in and just order dessert.

Re: NEW Blue Bayou menu!!

The Monte Cristo is $18.99

The menu at allears ( http://www.allearsnet.com/dlr/din/menu/men_bay.htm ) that has a March of this year posting date, had it priced at $12.99. That is more than 40% higher. Leaves me wondering if this will be a trend at DL, and if they will bring out a new dining plan.
Okay, rant over,

Thank you Wish and Twist The menu looks good (despite my rant, lol). I can't wait to see how the reviews come back for it. I would love to book it for my August trip, but not if it's mediocre.

No problem!! I get the feeling it might be a "souvenir" menu for summer.

Re: NEW Blue Bayou menu!!

I guess since this is such a popular place, they think they can raise the prices into Neverland. Holy Cow!!

Thats exactly what I thought when I first saw the menu. Dinner isn't much different in price, but now lunch entrees cost the same as dinner! And $18.99 for a Monte Cristo! At least we know the ambiance is worth it!
They really are going to have to work on the quality of the food though if the prices are that high. Besides the Monte Cristo, the rest of the food isn't all that great in my opinion.

But I'm still beyond excited to eat there again!

Re: NEW Blue Bayou menu!!

Am I the only one not offended by the prices? I mean that's ALOT of food for the money and probably about as much atmosphere as you are going to get in any dining experience. It is what it is, I am on vacation. (well not yet, but I WILL be in 20-something days)

Re: NEW Blue Bayou menu!!

Wow. That food sounds excellent! I knew they were going to be raising prices and changing some menu items, but that is pretty drastic. I think we will have to wait to try it until Disney offers its CMs a 40% dining coupon! (Which only happens once a year, around Christmas.)

I've never eaten there and I want to sooo bad...but I definitely couldn't justify those prices unless I was on vacation and it was my one big splurge!
