Icon5 Disney's Royal Buffet for Mother's Day

Has anyone ever gone to this? And is it only available on Mother's Day? This is a brunch meal located in the Disneyland Resort. Thanks for any info!

Re: Disney's Royal Buffet for Mother's Day

I have not, but I was there while it was going on a couple years ago (2004). I asked some attendees about it and they were very complimentary about the quality, but a few didn't like the price (which was a bit high). Anyways, while they ate crepes I hit the rides! YEAH!

Instead of attending the Mother's Day brunch, I bought my wife some sweet Disney loot to reward her motherly awesomeness! She still has a little stuffed Pooh holding a bouquet of flowers, which is pretty cute...

Thanks! And yeah, the price is pretty steep. But I think it'd be worth it since my mom has done so much.

Just don't overdose on crepes! They can add to the Disney queeze factor if you ever suffer that sort of motion sickness...

Yeah, and we're not letting her pay for ANYTHING the whole day! I really hope she'll love it.

When do you think I should tell her we're going to DLR? I plan on telling her sometime next year...that way it can still be a good surprise.

That's one idea I had in mind... Like, that morning I'd surprise her with flowers (or whatnot) and tell her the plans.

Just be sure of her typical surprise response! My mom does not do well with surprises that result in her going somewhere!

Well, of course I'd say ahead of time we're going somewhere on Mother's Day! I don't want her to faint or something.
