Club33

I was just wondering if the restaurant Club33 is still in existance in DL? I was fortunate to dine there in the early 80's and I just loved the place.

We were there recently, and I don't remember seeing a club 33. Where is it located??

Club33

Back 20 something years ago, when I was taken there (it was by invitation only), it was located off of Main St USA and down the French Quarter side street. It was not visible from the street, nor was it on any DL map.

Thank you

Thank you for the URL. What a find! I just viewed some of the pics and the menus. Now I can show my wife (who wasn't with me at the time) just what she missed. By the way, I noticed that the menu still does not have prices.

By the way, it is very easy to find the door, you just can't get in. As you are facing the entrance to the Blue Bayou, it is just to the right. A double black door, if I remember, with the numbers 33 on the wall next to it. No other explanation, looks just like any other fake door on Main Street.

That is so very "Hollywood"! I can just see me walking up to the door with my family and our southern accent! "Hey y'all got any collard greens and pinto beans in there??" :laugh :laugh

It does sound fabulous and something I would love to do but not DH he hates feeling out of place and he would, he says he's just a good ole country boy!

:) Yes...Club 33 is alive and well in Disneyland. You have to be a member to dine there or be invited by a member. The memberships are very expensive. I think there are three different membership plans; 2 are corporate and 1 is single person membership. I don't the cost of the corporate memberships but personal membership is (these are approx.cost) $7200.00 to join and a yearly fee of $2300.00. You have to write a letter to get the "formal" application which also has all the rules and regulations of the club. The wait list to join is quite long with a waiting period of approx. 7-9 yrs.

It's still there!!

We ate there last November (my BIL's company has a corporate membership). It's actually just 1-plain door with the number 33 above it. You have to ring the bell on the outside of the door to be let in. Once your in, the menu does have prices on it. The prices are not bad considering it's fine dining and in Disneyland. Also, another plus is, it includes your admission to Disneyland. So you can go to Disneyland all day if you'd like.

Re: Club33

I have enjoyed several meals there when I was a finalist in the Disney Store international trivia competition. It was really neat! In the room set aside for groups the imagineers installed microphones into the lighting fixtures that hang over the large dining table. Their intent was to use what was picked up on the microphones as jokes and gags, using some of the stuffed critters around the room. People didn't like that idea, so they were never used - but if you look closely at the light fixtures, you can still see the old microphones!
