Hooke's Point, Disneyland Hotel. Only open 4 days a week?
I just got off the phone with Disneyland Dining to make all of our June PSs & I was told that Hooke's Pointe is not opening Sunday-Tuesdays. That really stinks!!! Daniel was really looking forward to eating there as our anniversary dinner!
It's SO busy in June, how could they just close one of the resort restaurants for 3 days? There aren't even refurbishments of the restaurant going on or anything! He doesn't want to eat at Blue Bayou again, he doesn't really want to "make a fuss" & go to Napa Rose... now I have tp pick another place to have our anniversary dinner! any other suggestions?

We enjoyed Naples and Storyteller's. They are two of our favorites.
Sorry to hear about Hooke's Point. It sure doesn't make any sense to close during such a busy time.

OH, I should have mentioned what I DID book. So far we have Goofy's Kitchen (my birthday dinner) & Storyteller's Cafe. How does anyone feel about Steakhouse 55? Would that be a nice anniversary dinner? I've never been in there but were staying at the DL Hotel so it will be convenient!

I think Steakhouse 55 would be a great option for an anniversary dinner! I haven't tried it though...so I can't help you with that. I was shocked that Hook's Point is closed Sunday-Tuesday as well! But...that being said..I think Steakhouse 55 might be a better anniversary option anyway!

Make a fuss? Daniel doesn't even need a button down shirt to eat at Napa Rose. Let karma influence your decision... There's a reason Hooke's Point won't let you have your Anniversary Dinner there.. Trust me, you won't regret it.. ![]()

JESSICA.
This is the universe's way of subtly steering you to Napa Rose. No "fuss" is necessary. Granted, one night when we were there we got all decked out, but that was a matter of choice, not necessity; the second night we went we walked in wearing the same clothes we'd been doing the parks in that day. No fuss whatsoever. Napa Rose is the BEST meal you're going to get at a Disney property, this side of Vicky and Al's. The food is drop-dead, knock-your-socks-off good, and the service is wonderful. Let them know you're celebrating an occasion and they'll do all they can to help you make the most of the evening. You wouldn't regret it.

Hmmm, I could always just book it and tell Daniel "What are you talking about, this isn't Napa Rose... this is the Trattoria." He'll have no clue & end up loving it anyway.

Well, the big stained-glass sign outside the door that says "NAPA ROSE" would kinda put the kibosh on that... But it's a wonderful place to spend an evening. Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against the Steakhouse, but good steaks aren't that hard to come by. NR's menu is more distinctive. And who knows, you could end up discovering a new favorite. ![]()

OK friends, I did it... I FINALLY booked Napa Rose. I don't think I am going to tell Daniel.
I think we'll just go about our day and when it's time to get ready for dinner I'll just tell him we're eating at the GRand Californian. $100 bucks he'll just say "OK, whateva'" and then be THRILLED after eating there. If I tell him now he'll be all annoyed that I booked a "fancy dinner."
