You lucky girl.
I've never been there, but the Legal Beagle has...I hear the atmosphere is lovely, dandy spot to have a cocktail, but the food is nothing to write home about.

Which kinda took all the air outta the balloon for me. If the food doesn't live up to the cachet of the place....sigh. I'd rather go to NR.

Yup. Been there, done that, got the T-shirt. But the food was good when I went, though. I found out the food quality was less than tasty when the heir apparent got to go a second time. His plate of shrimp was good, but everything else, according to his mom, was subrate..

Napa Rose is OH SO MUCH BETTER than Club 33.

The food was outstanding when I was there. That was a about four years ago now Sad to hear that the standard may have slipped. But...hehe..for me..it was sorta about the exclusivity!

Re: Tell us about your Favorite Disneyland Restaurants

I very rarely have bad experiences at fine dining establishments but let me tell you what... Napa Rose, nevah' goin' there again. I wrote a whole section about it in my TR so I won't go in depth but it just WAS NOT what I expected. The food at Steakhouse55 was much better, and guess what, so was the service. Blah.

Total threadjack: the most I ever laughed was the scene where they read off the list of complaints Dwight filed against Jim over the years.

Quote:
Michael: (reading Dwight's list of complaints) Someone replaced all my pens and pencils with crayons, I suspect Jim Halpert.
Everyone has called me Duane all day, I think Jim Halpert paid them to
Jim: (to the camera) YES! 5 bucks each, and it was totally worth it.
Michael: (again reading Dwight's complaints) This morning, I found a bloody glove in my desk drawer, and Jim Halpert tried to convince me that I had committed murder. I think he may be the real murderer.
Jim Halpert said there was an abandoned infant in the women's room. When I went to save the child I saw Meredith on the can. Gaah.
This morning I knocked myself in the head with the phone.
Michael looks confusingly at Dwight. Jim is trying hard to suppress a grin.
Jim: (to the camera) That actually took a while. I had to put uh, more and more nickels into his handset until he got used to the weight, then I just, took them all out.
Michael: (reading the complaints) Every time I typed my name it spelled 'diapers'
Jim: (to the camera) Just a simple macro. You know.. these actually don't sound that funny one after another. But he does, deserve it though.
Michael: (reading more complaints) By the end of the day my desk was about two feet closer to the photocopier.
Jim: (to the camera) Yeah I just.. moved it an inch, everytime he went to the bathroom... and.. that's how I spent my entire day that day.
Sorry.... I can't resist anything to do with The Office.
End of threadjack.

No- that's the exact reason I want to go! I don't mind being elitist.

My parents have been (Grrrrrrrrrrrrr!) and I don't think they had any complaints about the food. And I remember that my mom was impressed with... the bathroom!

Yeah, me, too.

For my parents, it was just someone that my dad knew in the course of business.

The member then sets it up for you but doesn't even have to be there- I know my parents went with some other friends. I don't know if it's changed, but you don't pay to get in the park, you just give your name at a certain place. But you had BETTER show up to pay for your meal, or a rather hefty bill awaits you!

Re: Tell us about your Favorite Disneyland Restaurants

We had a suprisingly wonderful dinner at Hooke's Point, and a surprisingly un-wonderful dinner at Napa Rose. Maybe it was just too overhyped for us.
Wondering about the Club 33 thing too-how is everyone getting in? How do you get to know members?? I wonder if that's where Hurley from Lost was going when we saw him walking through Disneyland when we were there? hmmm....

Re: Tell us about your Favorite Disneyland Restaurants

I heard that NR wasn't that great, either. If it's going to be that expensive, it better be worth it!! For those of you that do love it, what is your favorite dish there? Have you done the Chef's Table? Is that the best experience there?
