Fantasmic! Dessert Buffet

I've read several things here and elsewhere about the Dessert Buffet for Fantasmic! at DL and how amazing it is. Does anyone know more details? How do you get reservations? How far in advance can you call? How much does it cost?

Thanks in advance!

:D

I've done quite a bit of research...it's kind of hard to get since during non-peak times Fantasmic is only offered once or twice a week, usually on the weekends, & there's only like seating for 18 for each show. You sit in the balcony of the Disney Gallery & they're supposed to be the best seats around. It costs $41/person, & you can make reservations 30 days in advance through Guest Relations. We want to do it in May...sounds great!!!

When dznygrl and I were at DL and watched Fantasmic!(THE most absolute breathtaking show EVER) we were definitely jealous of the people sitting up there watching as we were down in the crowds below. We are thinking of doing this next time, just so we have the best seats in the house fore Fantasmic! Did I mention that Fantasmic! alone was worth the admission price? (and Splash Mtn.) It was SO awesome!!! anyways, enough blabbing from me....

Hi dznygrl's_guy!

I've met dznygrl (well "virtually"), so I thought I'd introduce myself to you too. (I'm another Oregonian - and if Kim's countdown is correct, looks like we'll be at DLR at the same time!)

Who knows - maybe we'll end up watching Fantasmic! from the same location! :D

Tell Kim I said "hi".

Thanks for the info. We really enjoy Fantasmic and these seats and "VIP" treatment sound like something that we could possibly consider.

Hey Kristy...(or anybody), when you reserve the Fantasmic! dessert buffet, do they charge your credit card immediately or just use it as a guarantee?

Re: Fantasmic! Dessert Buffet

Did you call exactly 30 days out? And was the late show your first choice? I'll be calling soon & I'm trying to figure out if it's going to be as difficult as getting CRT ressies.

Re: Fantasmic! Dessert Buffet

Kim ~ I'm not sure if they charged the card when we made the reservations (my uncle actually made the call since both my aunt and I were in meetings when they opened the morning that we could first call), or just used it to hold it. But I'm sure they'll tell you if you ask.

Ilvminnie ~ we did call exactly 30 days in advance (and yes, I counted - several times, in fact. Start with the day prior to your desired viewing date as day 1 - as in "1 day in advance" and go from there. Maybe that's obvious to some of the pros, but the first couple of times we counted we stared with the day of the show as "1". The other way let us call a day "early"! ). The late show was our first choice since we leave Saturday, there's only one night to see the Mainstreet Electrical Parade AND Fantasmic, so we had to plan out that part.

What's CRT ressies?

The breakfast at Cinderella's castle in WDW. I always seem to be able to get them when I want to, but they're for sure the most difficult ones to get.

Re: Fantasmic! Dessert Buffet

I GOT IT!!!!! We'll be doing the Fantasmic Dessert Buffet for the 9:00 show on May 23!!!! I'm sooooooo excited! And dznygrl, yep, they said they were charging my card as we spoke. It was $99.50 for the 2 of us, so not cheap, but I'm really looking forward to it!

Re: Fantasmic! Dessert Buffet

It was INCREDIBLE!

We were spoiled beyond belief - not only with unlimited (!!!) YUMMY desserts (those fritters were to die for!), but bottom-less beverages (I think it almost paid for itself with the diet Coke I consumed!)

The view from those seats was amazing! And not having to sit for hours to save a prime location only to be squished during the show because people try to push their way in at the last minute?!?! Worth every cent! There were 20 of us up there, and had plenty of space. I think they have their own speakers up there too, because it was perfect!

Really really wonderful! A true Disney-highlight (spoken from someone who has had a few!).
