Which park - some advice please

HI

We are planning to visit California for a few days as part of our honeymoon and sadly have only one day free to visit either park (California Adventure or Disneyland). Please could you adise us on which one we should visit !

Being in the UK, I have visited Disneyland Paris around 20 times and WDW on 3 occasions. I was also a cast member for 8 years !!. I love the magic, but I have been readin reviews that the California Adventure park would not fill a complete day. We both however love the firework displays too - which are at the other park.

Any advice would be grateful as we leave on 29th July 2004 !

thanks

Keeley

Keeley -

I don't have the information that you need. I just wanted to take a moment to welcome you to Disney Central. I noticed this was your first post. Also, congrats on your upcoming wedding! You will find the people here very kind and helpful. I look forward to reading more posts from you in the future.

Re: Which park - some advice please

It depends on your preference. If you want to see the original disney park, go to the Magic Kingdom. If you want to go to a unique park (Although a park with pretty much no original attractions!! It has Millionaire, Muppets and Tower of Terror from MGM Studios, and then some other run of the mill amusement park rides) then go to California Adventure.

Personally, I recommend going to the Magic Kingdom. Oh and just so you're not dissapointed, the new fireworks show is awful! The one at Disneyland Paris puts it to shame!

And congratulations on the marriage!

I vote for Disneyland, thats where all the magic began, and it still has that classic feel to it. But I would suggest making it maybe 90% DL and 10% CA, just incase there is something you might really like to try at CA, like Soarin over California, ToT, California Screamin, etc.

Re: Which park - some advice please

Yea I would sugest going to Disneyland Park although.....Disneys California Adventure will have a few rides u wont want to miss....personally I would suggest paying the 75 bucks and buying the park hopper tickets so u can go into both parks...but if I were you and could only go into one park....definatley Disneyland Park...but try to go into Disneys California Adventure to catch....The Tower of Terror, Soarin over California, California Screamin, and a few other good rides. But yea I would have to say Disneyland park...youll get to experience the original park from where it all started, and there are LOTS great rides and attractions within just that one park and its just awsome, but its all up to you and what u want to experience...you should do both parks while you have the chance. Hope that helped a little bit :-)

Re: Which park - some advice please

yea the entrances and directly across from each other and Downtown Disney is right off to the side so you can go practically anywhere within the whole resort without wasting anytime. Go to this site there are some really good pictures of the entrance and the entrance Plaza. You can get a good feel of what it is like and remember the 2 park entances are no more than 150 feet apart, I hope you like the pics on this site!:-) (on this URL ull get a pic looking twords Disneyland Park....You may have to pic the "california" text on the top of the page then from there you can pic anywhere within the parks u wanna see....just take note these pics are 2 years old so somethings have changed within the parks and that sorta stuff. http://images.google.com/imgres?imgu...D%26ie%3DUTF-8
