Any Confirmation on dark ride rumors?

Does anyone have a confirmation on these 2 dark rides coming to fantasyland?

"The 20LUTS construction hasn't even finished yet, but it is already being rumored as to what the long term plans are. Originally, way back in April of this year, it was rumored that the long term plans were to put an E-Ticket in there of some sort. Now current rumors are for something much different. They are now pointing at two dark rides being eventually placed on this spot. The one rumored to be placed on the Ariel's Grotto side is rumored to be a Little Mermaid ride while the other is rumored to be anything, from an Alice in Wonderland transplant from DL, to an all new Beauty and the Beast ride (which I think one was planed for DLP, although scratched). Either way the details of these two dark rides are seem to be pretty much pure speculation at this point, but the fact that two dark rides will eventually go there seems to have atleast some backing to it."

This is the first I have heard of these. I know they would eventually have to do something with that lagoon area where 20,000 leagues was, so that would be cool. Something to think about anyway.

Boy, I think these two themes, Alice in Wonderland and Beauty and the Beast could make some incredible rides, especially if they employed technology similiar to what is used in Spiderman at IOA (Moving simulator through virtual reality!!!

I was at WDW 2 weeks ago and this area was blocked off with a wooden wall. When you rode Dumbo, however, you could see about 6 bulldozers and other construction trucks in this area. I can't wait to see what is here...

I havent heard to much about these rumors but I have heard of the ariel one. But Im not to sure if its true. But I do have a little suggestion. I would recommend next time you do this kind of post in the WDW section, not the DLR section. Mainly because this is the DLR section and these rides are encorrperated with WDW and when putting it in the WDW section you might get more feed back from the users who never come into the DLR section. And these rides arent going to be in DLR so they really shouldnt be in the DLR section. Just suggesting. :-)

There is a lot of speculation on to what is going at the old 20k. I have heard everything from a Harry Potter e-ride to an improved meet and greet for Fantasyland (with an eventual darkride in the way out future).

20k took up a lot of space and there is a lot of space to be had. It will be interesting to see what finally grows there.

I haven't heard any of these rumors but they all sound great!! There really is so much they could do with all that space... A Little Mermaid ride would be great, I always liked the part in 20000 Leagues where they showed the mermaids...

The lagoon has been filled

so I don't think we will see Little Mermaid ride or Nemo like they are rehabbing the DL submarine ride into unless they do it as a dark ride.

Yea, I was a little confused there too. I had to re-read it twice until I got this was a post that meant to go in the WDW section. But its all good.

The dark ride thing would be great. I would love to see them do something with the Little Mermaid. Atlantis would have been great too, but I wouldn't think that would happen, as the film wasn't what they hoped. But it's always a shame seeing all the free space.

I personally would'nt mind seeing a Little Mermaid dark ride of some sort. I think it would be cool to have that built in the MK. :-)
