Mouse Tails

On the last day of our WDW trip, I bought a book to pass the time on the flight. Mouse Tails-A Behind the Ears Look at Disneyland. It is very interesting. It talks about the first day the park opened and cast member stories. I recommend it.

Mouse Tales is a great book indeed! There's a 2nd volume called More Mouse Tales, which is even better than the 1st! These books also have maps of ride layouts; such as Jungle Cruise, Haunted Mansion, Pirates of the Carribean, Storybook Land with Casey Jr. Circus Train and Storybook Land Canal Boats, and even a map of Club 33!!!!!

Yup, More Mouse Tales surely does have maps and good ones too. Mouse Tales is of stories and that sort from opening date to the drawing boards of DCA and More Mouse tales is from the construction of DCA to now.

There's also an amusing story in the 2nd book about a group of difficult Annual Pass holders, called the Prarie Family, since they wore outfits like the family did on Little House on the Prarie (or from that time period). The Prarie Family were members of a bizarre religious cult (which probably was also related to their period clothing and way of dress). What caused the trouble with them was that they believed God had instructed their oldest daughter to marry a Jungle Cruise skipper who was working there at the time. They, or at least their oldest daughter, bugged him constantly; following him around as much as they could, videotaping him at work (even when they weren't on his boat), constantly writing letters (so of which were classified as "disturbing"), among other things!!!!! This eventually led to park security taking care of this, and eventually the family had their annual passes revoked and were asked never to return to Disneyland ever again! If that wasn't enough, the family even took Disney too court over this, where a number of Cast Members testified in court, including character CM's who testified in costume and under names such as Snow White, Cinderella, Peter Pan, Alice in Wonderland, Mary Poppins, etc. In other words, you've got to read this to believe it!

It was HILARIOUS!!!!! Probably THE best story in both of the Mouse Tales books. I would've loved to have seen those people at Disneyland, which I bet would be an experience in itself!
