Hmm, tips. Make sure you have most if not all your meals planned out. Disneyland is horrible with food, long lines abound! That would be my first hint. Second would be to make sure everyone, or most people have a way to communicate. Cell phones work the best, since most walkie talkies don't reach from one park to the next. Last hint would be to make sure you are standing on Main Street when the parks are scheduled to open. They will let you in the park early, so be at the front gates 30 minutes before the park opens. You can shop on Main Street or grab something from the bakery. But once the rope drops, there won't be any lines for a good 45 minutes, best time in the parks. If you get tired, head back to the hotel for a nap in the afternoon, then hit the parks when are rested.

Re: Disneyland Christmas 2004
If you do go in the AM you definitely want to take an afternoon siesta as Mickey suggested, because you want to be on Main Street at 9:35 pm for the fireworks and the snow!
Specific Christmas events - the Christmas Fantasy parade (runs 2-3 times a day), Santa on Main Street, Santa's Beach Party in CA Adventure (I personally thought this was kinda dorky but my kids liked it), cookie decorating in the Main Street Firehouse, carolers in both parks, the Holiday Magic fireworks, and of course, the snow right afterwards. Be sure to wander the back streets of New Orleans Square...it's decked out for Christmas like nothing else. |
