New Years Eve at Disneyland!!!!

so, i have a question for all you who have been to DL over new years, it says the park is open till 2, but how long are all the rides and stuff open until. I cant WAIT to go, i am soo incredibly anxious, i know its a year away, but i cant help but want to plan and save for it early you know. So if anyone has any helpful hints on conqering DL over New YEars, that would be GREAT!!!

thanks,
Flounder

If it says that the park is open until 2, then that means that everything (all the attractions) are open until 2 as well. Typically (not sure if New Year's Eve is typical), Main Street is open for an hour after park closing, which would mean 3 am.

I've never been there on New Year's, but I've heard that it is an absolute blast!

It's an amazing experience for New Year's That however is the one day I would recommend doing shopping earlier in the day. it tends to start looking like Grad night at 5 am.

Re: New Years Eve at Disneyland!!!!

We did New Years at DL back in 1995/96 and it was a blast. Back then they posted a big countdown on the castle and handed out hats and noisemakers. Not sure if that's how they still do it though. It was a lot of fun, but obviously expect big crowds.

Re: New Years Eve at Disneyland!!!!

My cousins went for New years 2000! They said it was an incredible experience. Just... They COULD NOT move, it was soooo crouded. They shut down all the rides/attractions 10 minutes before midnight because of the supposed... "millenium bug thing"

New Years at DL is SO awsome. but yes, everything stays open up until the last 10 mins or so that the park closes (they have to close things down so people will leave) and Main Street is usually open an hour or so after everything else is closed (so they can make sure everyone is out of the park). But you'll have a blast!

Hey, the sooner the better. Its a good thing you got it now because Im guessing its going to be really crowded next new years because of the 50th celebration. Have fun!
