Tower of Terror...

Hello everone. I have a quick question about ToT. Just returned from WDW and noticed that the drops are even more unpredicatable, where you would normally drop first, we actually shot up, and when the ride was about to end with the movie, the movie flickered and then the ghost disappeared, our elevator rumbled and we shot back up a few times - real cool. And with no lap bars - all seat belts now!!

I will be in Disneyland in about two weeks, and was wondering if the newest ToT has had the same effects put into it; mulitple drops, etc?

Thanks everyone! Looking forward to DL, the weather and A Walk In Walts Footsteps Tour!

Re: Tower of Terror...

There's another thread or two about DCA and their ToT. From what I understand, the Orlando version is better for now. I gather that some of the cinematic elements are missing and they haven't randomized the drops yet. It's reported that these modifcations will be added in the near future, but I don't know when.

You might find some of the discussion here helpful.

Re: Tower of Terror...

I rode it in June at CA and thought it was much the same as the WDW version. The major difference is that you are already in the drop shaft when you start the experience. At WDW you rise in a separate shaft and then travel to the drop shaft. At CA you rise and fall in the same shaft. It is a great ride either place!

The two TOT's are different but their both really great, WDW's does have the "leave the shaft part" as DCA's does not, but in the near future Disney plans on expanding DCA's to make it like WDW's......from what Ive heard this is planned to happen in 2006. But either way DCA's is just as good, just different in ways.
