Icon12 Question about shopping and trip to Disneyland.

My son loves Potato Head and I know Disney World has the new store and great displays at All-Century but we would like to go to Disneyland in CA, do they have a store with that sells Potato Heads?

I never was in Disneyland, any hotel or restuarant tips? Is is better to fly to Orange County or La?
How many days do you recommend for Disneyland?
What is the best time of year to go to Disneyland?

Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

Re: Question about shopping and trip to Disneyland.

It best to fly into Orange county, it only about 15 miles from DL. I would get a pass that allows you to spend at least 4 days there. It will take two full days to do both parks and you won't have time for anything else. We like to take our time. When we go out for a conference we alway got annual passes. We would go out on Friday night or early sat morning and spend the weekend in the park, then spend each night there after the conference then spend friday afternoon and saturaday at the park then leave on the red eye sat night out of orange county get home around 2 sunday afternoon. The cost of the pass was cheaper than the park hopper passes for the same time.

Re: Question about shopping and trip to Disneyland.

You mean like a Potato Head specialty store?

I think that most of the DL stores all have Toy Story sections - I'm sure you'd find something there. As far as a Potato Head-only store, I don't think they have that.

I agree to fly into Orange County if you can, but in many cases you'll get a better flight if you fly into LAX, so keep that in mind as well.

Re: Question about shopping and trip to Disneyland.

Not looking for a speciality store but one that would have a bunch of potato head toys like the one in Florida.

Re: Question about shopping and trip to Disneyland.

Yes, I believe they have the potato head accessories at the World of Disney store. I know I saw them some where, so if not there, just ask a CM and they should be able to tell you where to find them.
I fly into Orange County when I visit DLR.
4-5 days is a good length of stay to see everything and be able to take your time doing it.
My hotel tips would be to stay at a DLR hotel if you can afford to do so. I recommend the GC. It has it's own private entrace to DCA and is very close to everything else.
The best time of year to go is during one of the off seasons, and try to avoid weekends. Weekends tend to be more crowded with the locals visiting.
