Hello from Disneyland!!!

Hi all, just got a break from DL and our convention. Spent the entire day at DL and DCA!!! So much fun.
Tower of terror is so much better inside than WDW's. Even though there is only on elevator per shaft (and will really back up in the summer months??) the technology and effects are better!! Love the mirror! I do like Florida's out side area, but there is so much space at MGM. Plus the CM's are much more in character, they really play up the fact your are "staying" at the Hollywood Hotel, and our rooms are ready! And the boiler room is much cooler, good lighting effects (pictures to come soon)

Having a great visit, we just left our room, walked to Grizzle Rapids, rode twice without getting in line again, got soaked, and was back in our room within minutes.

write soon...

Re: Hello from Disneyland!!!

Sounds like you're having a great time!! I've gotta tell you, though, I've never been on either of those rides...TOT scares me to pieces, and it's always too cold to go on Grizzly River Rapids when we are there (I don't want to get wet and be cold). Even when we stayed at the GC (and as we know this ride is JUST outside the GC door, I didn't want to soak myself! LOL But, I did have a great time watching from the bridge up above. One time over one of those geysers and that's it for you! Some boats go by totally dry (except for the water vapor that is everywhere) and some...well...get a soakin'.

Don't tell me your night is over?! It's such a beautiful night tonight...gosh if my dh weren't working late I'd be there. Well, he is, but not quite out having fun... I want to go tomorrow night for sure. It's way too beautiful out not to!

Did you ride Soarin' over CA or CA Screamin' yet? I'd love to hear what you think of those two!

Re: Hello from Disneyland!!!

Hooray!! How neat to get a "live" trip report from DLR! It's so weird to hear you guys talking about DCA...I practically lived there last summer! Don't know if you guys are into uh--BIG thrills or not, but if you go on the Maliboomer, scream really loud okay? That's my ride. (I worked there last summer.) Same with the Orange Stinger...so be nice to the CMs.

How exciting that you are AP holders now! Ours expire in May, but I don't think we'll be back there before then, so...

Keep us posted!!!

Re: Hello from Disneyland!!!

Yup Early April

I may be going with a Youth Symphony on tour to Disneyland in March, If I do, that means I get to go twice! woot woot.

Well, I'm missing th 50th (when I go in april) by just short of a month, I doubt that the castle will be reveiled yet...

Re: Hello from Disneyland!!!

Thats awsome you may get to go twice, but it sucks that you will be missing the 50th. Ya, after thinking about it, I highly doubt they will reveal little bits of the castle before its all done like they did when they repainted it. They will probably wait until its all done. But thats what I think, I could be wrong.
