Birthday in DL???

When we did DD's 18th birthday in WDW we got her the pins they give out at guest services that say "It's my birthday" etc. Since we're going to be in DL the week after MY birthday I thought I'd just make that my celebration. Does anyone know if they have pins there like they do at WDW? Any other ideas?

I think they have Birthday pins you are able to get. Have fun!
Im not sure where they would be at but you can ask some one in City Hall or ask a CM.

Re: Birthday in DL???

I had a B-day in DL once. SO Awsome! All the CM's greet you by name and tell you Happy Birthday and you get free cookies at restraunts etc. It's just so much more fun. They don't give you a pin, but they give you a sticker that says "It's my B-day" and then they write your name in big letters on it.

While I was in New Orleans Square there was a worker guy who was playing some "New Orleans Jazz" (ya know, with the sun glasses and all "new orleans style" lol) As I walked by the saxaphonist, he was just playing his jazz... and when he saw my B-Day sticker he randomly went through a key change and started playing Happy Birthday. I didn't even realize until after 10 seconds. I was like, hey, I Recognize that song!! Then I turned around to look at the guy and he gave me a Big Smile So Much fun! I'll never forget that.

Then later that day a CM saw me and took me to a phone in one of the new orleans buildings. He dialed a Number, gave me the phone and guess who was on the other line? It was goofy! "Hey there, this is Goofy wishing you the most hapiest birthday at the hapiest place on earth! etc."

Best B-day I've EVER had.
You can pick up the stickers at the City Hall.

Thats awsome DLrocks, sounds like you had a blast! I believe you can get a B-Day pin, but I think you have to pay for it. But whether or not you get one for free or you have to pay for it, having a B-Day in DLR will be the best. :-) :-)

Re: Birthday in DL???

Yes they do...we just celebrated dh's and ds's birthdays and they both got pins AND "autographed" character pictures at the Grand Californian. We didn't pay for them. They were presented to us upon check-in.

ahh, cool. I knew they gave pins away for B-Days. I remember seeing them in the displayed B-Day package at the DLH once.

Re: Birthday in DL???

Does the birthday thing have to be ON the birthday? We'll be checking in 3 days after DD's BD - would that be counted as a BD? (And isn't she annoyed that she won't be IN WDW for her BD!)

They never check that stuff. I guess they figure whenever you're celebrating your birthday is up to you. Mine is may 11, but we're not ever getting there until the 16th but I'll just put off my celebration til then. When we did DD's 18th birthday I didn't start letting her wear the pins until it was her birthday, but then I let her wear them the rest of the week. They don't care...if it makes guests feel special I think that's all they care about.

Re: Birthday in DL???

No, it doesn't have to be ON the birthday, but dh is now telling me that you can only get them from one of the hotels.

However, when we ate at Ariel's Grotto and Goofy's Kitchen they knew before we got there that it was their birthdays and we got two more (restaurant specialized) pins. Such as Happy Birthday from Ariel's Grotto or something like that.
