What is 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea ride going to be made into?

I was just wondering what was going to happen to the 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea ride...I heard it was going to be made into something new.

I think I heard it would be a Pooh and friends greeting area, but I'm not sure.

Mr. M- Just to let you know, DL's ride was called to Sub Lagoon/Submarine Ride, not 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, that was WDW's, Just letting you know. As for the ride, there has been many things talked over it.....a new ride like the Atlantis ride at Sea World, a new kids play area, a new boat ride, many many things. No one really knows. Im thinking they might do something when they give DLR's TL a face lift and re-paint TL in the near future. But who knows?

Are we talking about DL or WDW? I think a lot of people post here by mistake asking about WDW but maybe the OP was asking about DL. I don't know... But yes, it was never called 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea at Disneyland.

Anyway, it was called Submarine Voyage, and the subs are still running under testing - as I posted before, Disney is looking to see how much "buzz" there will be about it, particularly on the internet at sites just like this one, to help them determine what to do with it! I've heard several things they are considering - a Nemo ride, a Little Mermaid ride, and an updated Submarine Voyage ride (would involve remodeling of the monorail station above the waiting area).

I think we were talking about DL's, the name of DL's ride just wasnt known correctly. I have heard alot of rumors about a nemo themed sub ride as well as a Little Mermaid themed sub ride if DL gets the green light to re-open the subs.

I hope they just bring back the subs updated! Nemo has nothing to do with tomorrow... Neither does buzzlightyear when ya think about it

It may not have anything to do with TL but you must remember one thing.....it has to be something that the people/kids like. But I personally would just actually like the original sub stuff like it was when it was running, only much updated of course.

Tomorrowland? They just repainted it, about 7-8 years ago! It was at the same time that they moved the Astro Orbiters from above the Peoplemover towards the entrance, and took out the Peoplemover and added the Rocket Rods, and Honey I Shrunk the Audience, Redd Rockett's Pizza Port, Innoventions, the new Chevy Autopia...all that stuff is very new.

Yup, I know. But they are FINALLY seeing how DLR's TL color didnt quite work out as well as DLP's. So they are/should be re-painting it (so they say) and are going to renew it to its original/popular state. I think the new color scheme will look awsome! Ive heard their going to do it this time in more whites, reds, blues, SOME gold and SOME purple like it used to be when TL was very popular but will still stay with a "now/tomorrow" future not retro future look and theme (Which ever would look great!) Now if only they would put the Astro Orbitor back to it original spot (or put it where the old cosmic waves were, free up space in the entrance and use the no useage fountain area) and put a nice entrance piece/sign in the entrance. But it still looks great where the Astro Orbitor is.
