Disney Central Chat Room

Hey yall. I had an idea I was going to present to Mickey as a posiblity and I want to know what you all think. I was thinking about asking Mickey if he could or would look into adding a chat room on here so we could all like talk live. Dont you all think that would be some what cool?? I thought it would be like really fun!

This may sound really stupid but I don't see what the difference is. We have chit chat how does a chat-room make things better?

The only difference would be we wouldnt post and we would just like talk for fun, but w/e......sheesh...it was only a suggestion.....

This was done unofficially in the past through AIM and kind of died out about a year ago.

okay, okay I understand. I have never been part of a chat room. I have no idea how they work, is all...
I wonder how everyone else feels about doing that. Let's keep this on top and see what happens.

oh, interesting. I personally wouldnt have done it through AIM. There is free chat site that you can actually add a chat box to your site for free and it just stays there, so maybe that could be a possibility, but I see this porbably wont work out. So oh well.....I thought I'd mention it anyway.....

I think a chat room may work, it could be like the one they have over at Visions Fantastic.com

I honestly don't have an opinion regarding a chat room (doesn't matter either way to me!), but I'm just telling you this so you know...

I think this idea was brought up in the "I am closing the Chit Chat Forum..." thread, and it was pretty much shot down. A lot of people felt that a chat room would allow too much opportunity for more trolling...chat rooms can get kind of out of control, and some people felt it was an unnecessary risk.

But I don't know how the majority feels...that's just what I read in that particular thread.

like Disney teacher said it was tried about a year to two years ago with unofficial aim chats and they died down I think the chit chat forums are the best idea

Chat rooms are strange places. With several conversations going on at once and behind close door conversations, there is a lot of backstabbing. Trust me. I was involved in a few when it was tried a year or so ago. It turned ugly.

I will try anything at least once...hmm...a chat room huh? Wouldn't that create the possibility of more problems like before...I dunno, it is up to Mickey!!

yea, it would be in a DC general area. I just put the thread about the idea in the Disneyland section well just because (no real reason why I did). It would be a chat for anything Disney in general.
