Monsters Inc. Dark Ride in DCA

I hadn't heard any info about this until now, but apparently the former Superstar Limo attraction in Hollywood Pictures Backlot in DCA is being transformed into a Monster's Inc. dark ride! This is according to a thread on mouseinfo.com.

What do y'all think of that??

Yea, I'm excited for this! Any new ride is welcome to the DLR I say! Some people think that Disney won't do a good job with it just because they arn't putting much money into it.. But I think it will be great! Any idea how they are making it fit in with the theme of Hollywood?

Im not sure on the themeing but they'll figure something out, its Disney! I know they have began some of the things for the ride. Its supposed to open in '06. Cant wait!

I hope so, because that Superstar Limo ride was so...well...stupid. Anything is better than what was there before!

That back area is where Mike and Sulley usually come out for a meet-and-greet. I guess that may be one of the reasons they decided to do a Monsters Inc. themed attraction.

Frankly, I can't really think of anything that would fit better, so I think this attraction will be great!

Im looking forward to it, though I would have liked to see the California version of Rocki'n Roller Coaster instead. But this new Monsters Inc. ride will be awsome!

I think if they would have had a bigger building & more space to work with, they would have done the "CA version of RnRC."

That would have been soooo cool!

It's too bad that they're putting such a "small" (as far as crowd-drawing) attraction back there, though, because it may get looked over a lot. I just hope Disney doesn't put it in and then feel the need to replace it with something bigger and better in 2 years.

They would have had plenty of room to put in a CA version of RnRC, they could have put it in the SSL and WWTBAM buildings. But we'll see how it goes. At least we get the subs back over in DL!

Love to see a Monster's Inc ride, but hopefully it is a little more advanced than pooh's adventure or toad's ride. The kids get bored with that style fast!

i was thinking a good monsters inc ride would be like something from the door scene where randal is chasing them when they're looking for boo's door. maybe it will be like a CA RnR?

AHB, you mentioned using the WWTBAM building...is that attraction gone now? I heard other people mentioning "what they should put in the WWTBAM building"...so are they removing that attraction?? If so, that was sure a fast change.

Yea, WWTBAMPI has been gone for months. The facade and building is still their but the show is gone. The Deal they had with NBC (or what ever channel it's shown on) was that they could have it for 2 years, then it had to go. Or something like that. That's just what I've heard.

yea, their contract for the ride ran out....now the question is what are they going to do with the building? At least the SSL building is now being turned into the Monstors Inc. Ride, they have began to build it.

WOW! So it IS gone!

Hmmm...I'm sad, because I loved playing...but at the same time I'm glad for my CM friends who worked there. LOL. Apparently it was the suckiest Attractions job you could possibly get. SOOOOOO boring.
