Re: Tiki Room opens!

Hooray! I'm so glad it's open again! I cried when they shut it down. BTW, I'm such a nut I was there for the last showing on the last night before they closed it down for rehab.

Has anything changed? I'll go check mouseinfo in a minute, but I just wondered if they'd changed anything significant?

some things have changed, some of the settings, scenery and other things like that and the soundtrack, they improved it. Its all good changes and the outside is a bit different, but it looks so good! It adds alot to Adventureland! Im glad its open. But other things are closed in Adventureland now.....I cant wait till everything is finished in the resort, its gonna look puurrtty!

Is the Tiki Room show still the same? I hope they kept the show the same, and didn't do an "Under New Management" revision like the did at WDW's Magic Kingdom!

Anyway, I bet the renovated Tiki Room will look and sound GREAT!!!!! Can't wait to see Disneyland after everything has been finished as well!

From the pics/info on mouseinfo, sounds like there were no changes! Only minor updates (mostly to the queing area) but the show is exactly the same. I'm so relieved!

Re: Tiki Room opens!

The "new" soundtrack is actually the original soundtrack that played in there when the Tiki Room was first opened. They brought it back for the 50th. Small World will also be playing its original version.

Re: Tiki Room opens!

Is it the original show (I understand that was one of Walt Disney's favorites) or is it that newly revised (tacky and awful) show with the voice of that Gilbert fella?

Re: Tiki Room opens!

It is the original show, not the New Management one like they have at WDW.

Re: Tiki Room opens!

It looks great! I really like how Disney is giving rehabs to some of its older attractions. I can only hope that WDW will get some of the rehabs that Disneyland is getting, including the Space Mountain and HM rehabs.

Re: Tiki Room opens!

What is different about the original soundtrack versus the one they were playing a few months ago?

Re: Tiki Room opens!

They enhanced it, it sounds great! And its a tad bit different because its like the original soundtrack, or something in those terms.

Re: Tiki Room opens!

does anyone know anything about the submarine ride re-opening? I for one would love to see it open again. It was still there the first time I went to Disney land but a year and a half later when I went back it was gone.
