Buzz Review

We went on Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters for the first time this evening, and we all loved it! I think it will take me a few more times to get the shooting thing right, but I did get a score of 4800 - ds who rode with me blew me away with 9700. Dd got 800 and dh got 94,000. He thought he did GREAT until we got out and saw that the high score for the day was somewhere in the 3 million range!

The screens are up that say "coming soon" for the part where the players at home get to play against those on the ride. It is coming in June.

Dznygrl, Pin Traders is still open and next door to Buzz. The Mission to Mars/Space Shuttle display that they used to have in that area is gone, however. Buzz exits through Pin Traders, so the store is chock full of Buzz stuff, and it has another name with a small "Pin Traders" on the side now - Buzz Port or something like that. Something related to the ride - I can't remember what it was.

I forgot my camera, of course.

Oh, thank you!! I'm glad I saw this thread. I was getting really confused as to what was going on in that Pin Traders area, so thanks for clearing it up for me. Sounds like they did a nice incorporation of the Buzz theme without having to clear out the pin store. (Which is good--DH and I LOVE that pin store!!!)

Took my son for his 3rd birthday on April and he really enjoyed the ride. He didn't do much shooting, just held the gun and watched the displays. I have to say I really loved the giant buzz with the computerized face as you are standing in line. Totally high quality! I was disappointed with the buzz shop because there isn't much in there, but it makes sense after reading this that it use to be a pin trader shop.

I was impressed with the giant Buzz as well. We were trying to figure out how they did that, to no avail.

My guess from my study of it two days ago: it's being projected from inside the face. Is that close?
