Minnie went to Disneyland without me...

Well, it really isn't sad. A couple of weeks ago we found a great rate for the Grand Californian, and we jumped on it. Minnie decided to take our middle child (7), since he had yet to go on a trip withough siblings. He hates all things Disney, which should be interesting. I guess I should clarify. He hates all things except Nintendo and possilbe soccer if you catch him on the right day. Oh, and breakfast cereal.

Minnie arrived on Sunday morning and checked in, and they gave her a theme park view (ok, now I am jealous!). They spent yesterday in Grand Californian (no "scary" rides though, he is a chicken after all). They were off to Disneyland today and Goofy's Kitchen for dinner. They will have all day tomorrow in the two parks, and then back home late tomorrow night. It really will be a great trip for both of them, hopefully our home will be in one piece when they get back.

So, don't you all think I should get to go to Disneyland Paris for a week? Come on, I have earned it!

Of course you've earned it Mickey, but what would Paris be without the lovely Minnie? You've got to be in Paris with the one you love!

How could a kid of yours hate all things Disney? I understand about the hating everything phase, but DISNEY???!!!! Can't wait if he still hates it when they get done!

Sounds like he is just excercising his independence from all of the daily Disney talk. I've got a feeling that as soon as he finds his own niche in Disney, you might not hear the word hate anymore. Can only hope.;pirate:

If Minnie is doing all the work with middle son who "hates" the world right now, doesn't SHE deserve the week at Disneyland Paris?! ;) Fine, I guess you both do. :p

I bet middle son ends up loving all things Disney; just don't tell him yet. :bandit

You know, you are a bigger person than I am because now that I have thought about it a bit, I would just HAVE to go with my hubby if he were off to WDW. I would be so jealous that he got to go and not me. Sad, isn't it?

No, it is looking really doubtful right now. We have not been able to get the cruise we wanted to go on. We were really only half hearted about it since it was another Eastern Caribbean, and we were just there in December. We are planning a cruise for summer 2004 with everyone in my family (my siblings and parents) and we are hoping we can fit a seven night Disney cruise into everyone's budget. If that is the case, and we will know more in a couple of months, I don't think we will be back on board until then.

Fifi, you are probably right, I talked to her today and she finally got him to go on Space Mountain, but that was it. I tried to talk him into Indiana Jones, which is similar to Dinosaur, but not scary, but he didn't have any interest.

Poor Mickey! I know... give Minnie a week with you at DL Paris for Valentines day. That way she gets a wonderful gift and you get to go where you want! I hope Minnie and your son have a fabulous time and that he is able to secretly enjoy every minute of it. How could he not?!

I survived, as did al the kids left with me just fine. Thanks for asking. They had fun, though my son didn't really. I will have Minnie fill you in if she gets some time today.
