Best Place to view DCA parade?
We have PS reservations for Ariel's Grotto on June 27th at 7pm. The Electrical parade is at 8:45pm but DL park is open until Midnight. We would LOVE to go over to DL after the Electrical Parade for the last few hours but I was wondering where would be the best place to stake ourselves for the parade to 1)Have a good view B)Get out pretty fast.
I don't even know the parade route in DCA for Electrical?!?

Re: Best Place to view DCA parade?
Last year we sat opposite the Palace of Fine Arts (San Francisco area), next to the end of the pier (it was not very crowded here for us). We stayed and had coffee before going home, but there were lots of people that left going past GRR to the entrance instead of going back through Sunshine Plaza.

Re: Best Place to view DCA parade?
we were right by the jellyfish ride, fronting the pin/novelty shop. There is bathroom right there, a snack bar, close rides for the kids (if you have kids going) and shopping too. There was a bench that we took turns sitting on and taking the kids to ride, etc. and just over the bridge was to get out, it didn't take us more than 15 minutes to track it across to DL. I hope I helped...

The Sunshine Plaza is great! It is right at the entrance and allows for a quick escape! In December we watched the Electrical Parade and then ran to DL, caught the train to NOS to watch the later showing of Fantasmic with no problem!

Re: Best Place to view DCA parade?
The parade route starts at the gates between the Hollywood area and Sunshine Plaza and ends near the Paradise Pier area(just before it I think). If you can make it to Sunshine Plaza that's probably the best place to catch it. But...since you are having dinner at 7pm it may be a bit crowded by the time you get there.

Re: Best Place to view DCA parade?
Stay as close to the Golden Gate Bridge as you can. Honestly, right in front of the Greetings shop is great...anywhere where you can be some of the first to JET out of the park! It gets cuh-raaaazy after the Electrical Parade, because everyone has the same idea...get back over to DL! So the closer you are to the exit, the better. All around Sunshine Plaza offers EXCELLENT views of the parade so you can't really go wrong - just make sure you are not on the INSIDE on Sunshine Plaza, or it will take you forever to get out!
Any of the other edges, in close proximity to the Golden Gate Bridge and you'll be sitting pretty. It means you'll have to hoof it from Ariel's Grotto, but it'll be worth it!!
