Dinosaurs and lava

Does anyone know why on the train the conductor and service men do not want you to take pictures of the Dino/Lava/Grand Canyon area?
They say no flash photography but they even frown upon just taking non-flash pictures...or at least the one while we were on the train did.
Why?

I would guess that it "ruins" the effect of the ride.

Perhaps they frown on non-flash because they assume there will be an unexpected flash?

I'll ask next time I go...

We have actually taken pictures on the ride, once with the flash because there was no one else on the train. They did not turn out, it was just a picure of the flash. Once without the flash and you could not even tell what it was.

The pictures dont tend to turn out because A- Its to dark without the flash and B- When you use the flash is reflects off of the glass and shines back into the picture and then nothing turns out in the photo. I just decided to say this just because....no real reason as to why

Re: Dinosaurs and lava

Not only is it practically impossible to get a good picture on there, it also really does affect the way the Grand Canyon and Dinosaur dioramas look like. I know this because someone on the train with us once tried to take a picture of the dinosaur one, even though they told us not to. The flash illuminated the clear strings that the flying dinos and props were held up on, and it just made it look like a mess of strings. I did take a tape of it once, and it turned out fine. The reason why they don't want any non-flash pictures is probably because they don't want people to get mixed up and think they can take a flash picture. All for the benefit of the experience.
