DL! We have arrived......

We arrived at 10:00 last night. I had fully accepted the fact that we would have a crappy room due to our late arrival. Upon checking in, I was thrilled to learn that not only did we get our room request, the Sierra tower. But we got upgraded to a corner room on the 6th floor. It is much larger, with a view of DTD. We got over to the parks at opening today. Wow, it was crowded! I was told that there is a school holiday here in the LA area. We rode lots of rides and checked out the new refurbed POC. I thought it was very cool, my husband didn't seem to like it as much. I was surprised to see so many rides closed. Matterhorn, Monorail, Autopia, there may be more that were closed that I didn't notice. The sub lagoon still looks torn up. They did extend the park hours until 9 tonight, probably because of the crowds. The 50th decorations are still on the castle. The park is decked out in pumpkins. I will post more later. We are on a quick break before going back to the park.

I'm glad they opened PoC for you. It was closed when we were there 2 weeks ago to dress it up in Halloween style.

Bummer about the Matterhorn still being down.

Have a wonderful time and enjoy the walk on rides.

Day 2 follow up! Started off with Breakfast at Goofy's Kitchen. All was good, but we only had 2 characters stop by our table. My DD didn't care she had cupcakes for breakfast. Off to the park. When we entered at 9:15 we thought we would hang out for 45 minutes for the rides to open. We saw a long line that said "Early Entry". We didn't think it applied to us because my AAA early entry isn't good on Tuesday. A nice CM said "check the back of your ticket." When we came in the park they stamped our tickets, but I didn't pay much attention to it. Well they stamped "DLEE", like I knew that meant Early Entry. So we hoped in the line and off we went to Fantasyland. The rides were running. The crowds were much, much lighter today! YEA! We rode all the rides that were open. We went over to DCA and reaffirmed why we don't like it nearly as much as DL. We returned later in the day to DL so my DH could get a turkey leg. Completely exhausted, we limped back to the DL Hotel to enjoy our awesome room/view. We are heading home tomorrow so this is the end of my TR. Next TR WDW 11/27

Wha????the meet and greet has happened? Are you writing an onsite trip report and are hiding it from me? Or do we have to wait until you get back to where ever that is you live?

Yeah, the M&G was on Monday the 2nd. No, he's not doing an onsite TR, and you will have to wait until he's back on the island to post it here.

He's in Gettysburg right now...

I think he was going to try to get in another long weekend in at DL before coming back, though, so (knock wood) it'll be worth your wait.
