Re: Pal Mickey
It doesn't. I wish they'd make one for Disneyland though.

Re: Pal Mickey
Not a silly question. I've been going to DL my whole life, and one year I went to WDW instead and fell in love with little Pal Mickey. It's so sad seeing him limp and unknowing of my whereabouts... repeating the same jokes over and over again. I miss him helping me out!
I really, truly hope that they set him up in Disneyland. Then I could use him there. Who knows, they could make a lot of money off of Pal Simbas, Pal Minnies, Pal Donalds... etc.

Re: Pal Mickey
I agree, Campbell. They should make it a little easy on us in that aspect... wouldn't it be terrible if they made us pay for a different Pal for each park? :shock: Hehe, but it would be cute if you could get accessories for them. I think they could update/adjust them right in the store, because when I bought mine they had to take him out of the case and start him up right there. They also do the updates electronically by simply sending radio signals to the Pals {that's how they know where you are, when show times are, and where disney meet and greets are.}

Re: Pal Mickey
They are SO MUCH FUN. Plus, kids love them. I went on TOT there and a little girl was really scared, so I let her hold my Pal Mickey. During the middle of the ride he shook and laughed, so she pressed him, and he said something like "I think I'm falling for you!" you know, a cute little corny joke. She ended up enjoying the ride and her dad said he would buy her one. I think Pals are a great idea.

Re: Pal Mickey
Is there a new Pal Mickey now that the 50th Celebration is over? They had the Happiest Celebration on Earth version last time we were there. The reason I ask is because was thinking of getting on for my son and found brand new ones on Ebay for $40 as opposed to the $65 they charge at WDW. I just want to make sure we have the most up to date version.

As for PalMickey at Disneyland, I just don't think there is enough area for something like that to operate there. But then again, I don't even know how they work, so.... ![]()

Re: Pal Mickey
Well, here's the deal. I actually asked how they worked because I was so curious about it. The guy told me that they have pegs around WDW -- hidden behind signs and such so that they can't really be seen. These are radars that transmit to and from Pal Mickey, giving him information and updates that are sent all at the same time to Pals all over the parks... and special sensors in Mickey's nose pick up the signals. There are also certain signals in certain areas that tell him where you are, and there are a multitude of jokes/facts/updates that he can give you in these areas. All in all, I really think they COULD put it in DL {and DCA for that matter} -- it would just take a bit of time and probably a hefty sum of money. But they don't really have a problem with that recently, do they? :P
