DL v. DCA

Okay, so I need some experts out there who know about the Disneyland Resort.

Which park is better?

I'm heading out to California this May and I have to pick one of the parks to visit.... Which one do I do?

It sounds like there is a lot of great rides in DCA, but DL is the historical park where all the magic began.. So which one is better?

Re: DL v. DCA

You have to do Disneyland. Not only does it have great rides, but like you said, DL is where it all begin. Plus it is the only park that Walt ever set foot in.

I love DCA and think it is great, but it is no match for DL. How can you top the classics like HM and PotC? Good luck with your decision!!

If you haven't done DL (and I know you have done MK) you have to do it.

DL! DL! DL! DL!

DL all the way!!! DC doesn't have enough to enterain you all day, plus they have shorter park hours.

If you are FORCED to pick just one, there is no decision to be made. Disneyland for sure.

However, if you do have time to visit California Adventure, it is worth your time..

But Disneyland is truly head over heels above California Adventure..

DISNEYLAND!!! Trust me. I've been there 589306 times and I still long to go!

Disneyland - You can stay there for 1 day-to-4 days at the most and do everything. All the rides and attractions are a lot of fun, and there are things to do for people of every ages! You MUST experience rides like Pirates of the Carribean, Haunted Mansion, Splash Mountain, Space Mountain...

Disney's California Adventure - Here, there are rides for little ones but IMO, this park is geared toward older kids and adults. I always finish doing everything in this park in less than one day, meaning there is nothing to do after 7 hours or so (except going on the Tower of Terror over and over again ). And plus, for some reason, this park doesn't have all of the magic you'd feel if you were in Disneyland.

Re: DL v. DCA

I have to admit the allure of a park theamed towards Cali was quite tempting.... plus that awesome coaster you see in all those ads looks really cool too....

But I really want to see the original, now I just have to sell my friends on going to DL instead of DCA.

The two parks are different and both are wonderful. BUT if you have to choose one, you MUUUUUSSSSTTT go to Disneyland park, its such an amazing park and very different from the MK. You will have a blast!

Disneyland. No contest. Just visiting DCA...if you've never even been to DL...well, that would be wrong!

It can only be Disneyland. You would not be as happy with CA the coaster is cool but not all day.

Re: DL v. DCA

DCA is great and a whole lot of fun; but if I had to choose only one to see, it would have to be Disneyland.

The history alone makes it a must see.
