Re: Lincoln

I would think they will bring it back, as it was taken out for a 50th attraction that will most likely end, if it hasn't already. I hope it comes back; I LOVE Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln!!!

Re: Lincoln

I am pretty sure it's coming back. I know they took it out for the 50th Celebration movie, which I liked a lot. I hope they bring it back, though, because Lincoln rules! I will ask a CM when I go to Disneyland.

Re: Lincoln

I would think that they never change that one. After all, Lincoln was Walt's favorite president. And it really is a good show.

Re: Lincoln

They will be bringing Lincoln back, but I believe the 50th show was extended because of its popularity, and Disney wanting to give more people a chance to see it. (That's what I heard thru the grapevine when at Disney anyway...)

I certainly can't wait for Lincoln to be back; I liked the 50th show but Lincoln is a classic!

I believe it is to come back, when? Im not sure. I really wish it wouldnt, I really dont like Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln...I find it to be tacky and boring, Im sorry but I do. I really like the Disneyland: The First 50 Magical Years exhibit and movie, its great.
I hope they will eventually release the movie onto DVD some day....*sigh* that would be grreat.

Wow I'm kind of surprised. I would think that you would be one of those people who really treasures the Lincoln attraction. After all, it was the first of its kind...

...but hey, there's nothing wrong with not liking it. I guess I really was just surprised that you don't!

I'll admit that it's not incredibly exciting, but I still tear up every time I watch it. So it must hold something special after all!

I mean dont get me wrong, its great but Im just not one of those people who likes to go to DL to get a history lesson, I like getting a lesson of the history of Disneyland Park itself, and learning the insight of what Walt went through with the park and how it was built, etc. I mean its great but I still have a very special place in my heart for Disneyland: The First 50 Magical Years, etc etc And just like you tear up when you see Lincoln, I tear up at the end of the Disneyland movie...it just some how gets me every time.

I understand that. For me it's the technical stuff. I am just in awe of that figure. Could be Santa Claus for all I care. I just remember sitting in the front row, thinking is that a real guy or not?
