Esplanade Entry Sign Replaced

The Entry Sign into the Esplanade that said "Disneyland Resort" in the Disney font has been replaced with the traditional Disneyland logo, very homey and its great! The only thing its missing on the new sign that was on the old sign is the word "Resort" but besides the fact - the last sign that didnt fit in now fits in and looks splended, here..take a look.

Thanks for sharing! The blue looks much better than it used to! And I'm excited to see that they started doing the Anaheim walk of fame stars, I heard about those a while ago! They look good! And who better to honor than Walt and the founders of Carl's Jr.?

Although, because you posted this, Andrew and I are now going to have to walk over to the shuttle area and find those stars...

*pumps fists in air* Finally! I seriously cried when I saw that they put "resort" beneath Disneyland. Well, turned red and got furious tears of anger...

But I'm still kind of upset at them. They need to put "The Happiest place on Earth" back. Still, I'm just glad they took away that wretched "resort" away. It was such an eyesore, it made me feel like I was entering an old people's day spa instead of a magical place.

OMG I like that sign sooooo much better!

The last one was kinda ugly.

So are they going to change the big sign at the entrance to the Timon parking lot so it matches this one?

For the HUGE Timon and Pumba parking lot entrance sign - I heard they were supposed to do something with Walts quote "To All Who Come To This Happy Place - Welcome" and something to do with "The Happiest Place on Earth", but they put those Disney Character decals up to support the YOAMD, which dont look all to bad - so that could maybe what they may do after the YOAMD ends and do something with the sign or it was just a rumor....who knows? but Im just glad they re-painted it (the orange was U-G-L-Y) and the blue, yellow, and white looks good.

Forgot to mention this - but on the page of the link - look at the first picture in the far top left corner - its of the tram/bus drop offs.....it shows the new concrete color job....WAAAAY better than the old black cracked concere and yellow caution sign job that was there back in sept.

Wow. I'm so happy that they did this... really. The orange was terrible, I didn't feel like I was going to Disneyland at all when I walked in, more like a construction site.

Actually, I think they were trying to add a special twist to it or something to that effect... maybe a bit of modernization? Either way, I'm glad they've got blue and white back. It's more Disney-esque. I can't wait to see the changes! Thanks for telling us!

Yea, the sign was repainted Blue and Yellow with accents of white. Check out the link I sent, the page that opens up - go to the following page and you will see pictures of the newly re-done Timon and Pumba parking entrance sign. Its quite lovely!
