Re: Am I crazy?

I don't think you are crazy. I did WDW 7 months pregnant with 2 other kids to run after.
Just milk the fact that Alice won't be an only child anymore. Tell Ryan,"We have to do this for her,it will be so special." He will fall for it!!

I'm glad to hear it can be done!

So far that's kind of the tack I'm using...she'll only be this age once, and while she's under 2 she still flies for free too!

I think you should def. do it! I made a Prebabies "bucket list" and I'm packing in as much Disney as possible! If you can get the room for cheap, go for it!

Re: Am I crazy?

nah . . . you just Disney!! Nothing crazy about that!!??

Not sure I could do the park 8 months pregnant, by you know your limits AND you'll be doing all the smaller kiddie rides and enjoying your little girls so that will be a PERFECT time to go!! She'll need a nap in the afternoon too!

MY MOTTO: Never say NO to Disney!!

Re: Am I crazy?

Naw...if its what the pregnant lady wants, than give it to her! Ha ha, I've gone to parks pregnant, and I hated the heat but stayed hydrated and tried to take walking breaks when needed. I also focused my trip more on shows than I did rides, and DH with the kids accomadated me because I was bearing his next child.

Re: Am I crazy?

Is there a reason you can't go in say...September? Being 6 months pregnant is a lot less cumbersome than 8 months (so I've been told).
and yes, you are crazy!

Re: Am I crazy?

I would say to definetly discuss it with your doctor also. Also be prepared for the fact that you could go into labor at Disney. Hmmm, now that would be an interesting birth story. Like everyone said you know your body and your limits. That first with your child is AMAZING!

Re: Am I crazy?

Yes you are and GO FOR IT!!!! Like everyone said, just listen to your body.

This will be a great opportunity to do it "low key" instead of jumping from one attraction to the next. You will be able to go slow and just take it all in. To me sounds like a great way to spend a week when you are third trimester. Who knows, you might see and experience something you never have before

Well the reason November is kind of the magic month is because DH is going to be in school pretty hardcore and it's the only time he'll be comfortably between midterms and finals...but not "out" yet so we might still avoid other "schools-out" crowds! I was also hoping to avoid the heat and go when it's cooler, just in case my swelling body can't handle the heat.

But I am always open to other months too, as long as I get to go!!

Re: Am I crazy?

Nah, you're not crazy! Just DYING to get there...at any cost! I went to WDW while I was 8 months pregnant and although I loved being away, I was MISERABLE the entire time. I got sciatica really bad while there and had to rent a wheel chair most days. I was pretty good up until the trip...I thought I could handle it, so I never cancelled my plans. It was SO MUCH WALKING and probably caused SO much strain at that point in my pregnancy. I went while pregnant with my 2nd and was only almost 5 months along and WHAT A DIFFERENCE! Night and day, really. What about going when the baby comes and is just a few months old? Then you will have the joy of seeing BOTH of your children at WDW! Genavieve took her first trip at 4 months old. I loved that trip!

Whatever you decide, good luck and have a blast!

Thanks for your response Kim! I remembered that you had done Disney multiple times while pregnant and hoped you would spot this thread.

I think I'm definitely going to strive to go a little earlier than November if possible, depending on how I'm feeling within the next few months, and also of course based on what my doctor thinks. I'm sure you are absolutely right, 5 months vs 8 months would make all the difference comfort-wise!

I would really like to do this trip with Alice before the new baby is born because Ryan and I will be celebrating our 5th anniversary in WDW next May...and that will probably stretch our pocketbooks for a while. I simply need to get to Disney before then - especially DL, which I miss so terribly these days!
