sleeping beauty's castle

hey everyone. i never been to disneyland but would like to visit one day. i have a couple questions in mind. first, is there a resteraunt inside the castle, just like cinderella castle? two, can you go in the castle or no? three, is sleeping beauty around her castle to greet her? thanks for your responses in advance. :)

No restaurant in the castle. There was a walk-through in the castle where you viewed windows that told the story of Sleeping Beauty. It was closed after 9/11 for rehab. Not sure if they ever opened it back up. Never saw Sleeping Beauty by her castle.

That is one of my favorite Disneyland attractions. It has not been open the last couple of times we were there though.:madmad

It has not shown up at yesterland.com though so I assume it still exists. Anybody seen this open lately?

Hi Tragic312,

The castle is a bit smaller than the on in WDW. It does have a clever walk through. You walk up stairs the back down viewing the story on Sleeping Beauty through glass cases and elaborate books.
If you are facing the castle Aurora can be found in a small garden area to the right. It is kind of tucked away. We also found Snow White there one day.

There is a gift shop kinda of behind the castle to the left in the back. I think it is called Tinkerbells Gifts...or something like that. Anyway, throughout the day a scheduled princess will sit in the center of the shop and tell "her" story with a male CM. They kind of act it out. VERY cozy and Very entertaining. I don't think many guests knew about that, because when we went(and we went for every princess) maybe 30 guests were there. This was in June 2001...hope they still do it. Ask in the gift shop for a schedule.

that sounds awesome, arielbelle. i would love to see that. i wish WDW would do the same, as well. if they do, then i'll be disappointed for walking past by something like that. i would love to step inside princess aurora's castle. i also wouldn't mind stepping in cinderella's castle, but i know that will never happen. thanks again, arielbelle for the scoop.

Re: sleeping beauty's castle

Yes the castle at DL is nice and magical of course not as tall as WDW's but from what I had heard the walk through is planned to re-open but im not sure when, also I have seen Sleeping Beauty a few times aroung the castle during charchter greeting times.
