Military Discounts, hoorah

Hello to anyone who reads this thread, I was curious as to how I could gain information on seeing if there will be any military discounts to the theme park or disney owned lodging during the time fram of March-April 2004. I'm currently deployed in Baghdad, Iraq and want to have a great vacation when I get the heck outta here!

Welcome to DisneyCentral! There were military discounts at both Disneyland, WDW and the cruise line for 2003, though I have not heard anything about those being extended for the time being. I will see what I can find for you.

You could also look at Shades of Green at WDW, the prices there are pretty good for military members.

Welcome to DC! Thank you so much for ALL of your efforts.

The Shades of Green is in the process on completing their renovations and the resort is suppose to be better than ever. It will be a great spot to reunite with your family who I am sure is missing you desperately. Thanks for keeping us safe. Happy Belated Holidays!

Shades of Green is SUPPOSED to reopen in Mar. 2004, but they are still booking people into the Contemporary resort while the refurb is ongoing.

You can request a reservation online at the SOG website or call them at (888) 593-2242.

You also can buy your park tickets through them at a discount.

It's an honor to have you visit us. Thank you and be careful over there.

Thank you for your replies!

I want to thank you all for your kind words! It's nice to hear such things while deployed thousands of miles from the US. Unfortunately, my family and I won't be able to afford a vacation to WDW, however we were looking into Disneyland in So. Cal. I'm from California, so that's only a car drive away. Again, thank you for your replies! :p

Military Discounts

I just got back from Iraq. If you plan to go to WDW there is a hotel just for military and its rates are based on your military rank. If you have a Military base close to you house you can go to MWR or ITT to get cheap tickets of all Disney and other Parks or concerts. Also you can call the Walt Disney Travel Company and get discounts Directly from them for the military price.

I went in December and was treated like a hero. I was at the Fantasmic Show in Disneyland and the host had me stand up and the Whole Crowed in the area It seemed like 200 or more all Said Thank You to me and all the Armed Forces for serving. It was Awesome. Good luck on your trip.;pirate:
