Disneyland Hong Kong

Since Disneyland opened in Hong Kong today, I was just wondering if anyone was planning on visiting that Disney location any time soon.

I saw this on the news today. They showed a man with Golden Mickey Ears, bowing down and saying "Thank you for opening this location"
LOL!

I guess he was tired of traveling to DL or WDW!!! Too cute!

I would love to! But, if I do it will most likely be when my kids are grown and out of the house.

Re: Disneyland Hong Kong

Same here, Smelly Mouse! Too expensive otherwise. Plus, I don't particularly relish the idea of a fourteen hour flight--and that's just from Dallas to Tokyo Narita--with two (or more) small children.

And when I say "small children" I'm thinking anything younger than 21...

*squeals* I just do pass that!

Anyway, I have no plans on going. I'm not a fan of Asia. Plus, I'm hearing numerous reports of constant smoking (which I know is huge in Asian countries) even in non-smoking areas, children urinating on the ground and sidewalks, people walking around barefoot... Yeah... no interest.
But I'm happy others are enjoying it.

I would really love to go, and someday I most likely will. Not sure if DW will go with me or not. Same with my trip to Antarctica-that I WILL make!

Re: Disneyland Hong Kong

I will be in Disneyland Hong this Friday - I will report back when we get home!!!
Not many new attractions (well the whole park is new, but nothing that isn't anywhere else). But the castle looks great situated between these huge mountains.

It's my goal to make it to all the Disney parks some day. When I do make it to Hong Kong, I'll be sure to wear waterproof shoes so I can avoid the streams of urine in the streets...
