Ordering groceries through resort

This is our first stay as DVC members. We will be staying at OKW. Has anyone used the early ordering grocery option for one of the resorts? What did you think? Or did you stop at a grocery on the way to the resort (we are flying in). Thanks for any help.

Re: Ordering groceries through resort

I have used it once, on a short trip. We only ordered a couple of items, and it was great that they were in our room when we arrived. Normally, we just go to the grocery store, but we have 5 kids, so it is worth the trip.

I think if you are looking at ordering just a couple of things, then go for it. If you need a bunch of stuff, hit the grocery store.

Re: Ordering groceries through resort

I haven't used the grocery delivery service. They do charge like a flat rate for delivery and they may add gratuity onto that. Not sure. We have not used it, but I think that's why we didn't use it. I don't cook on vacation and we drive so we bring a few things with us, and then either went to the grocery store or got milk from the store on site. If you do go to a grocery store..I wouldn't go to the one right outside the gate (Goodings) they cost as much as buying it on Disney property.
