Can someone help me. I have never been to WDW. Will be going to WDW in Sept with 5 adults staying at SSR. I would like a room close to the pool bus stop and can see the fireworks at PI at night. Can I get a room like this or am I asking for to much ?WE have a 2 bedroom. I have read about dedicated 2 bedroom and lock off. What is this "dedicated vs "lock off". ONe other thing I would like is to be able to park right in front of the area that I will be staying. ARe all the parking like that? I do not mind getting the 2nd 3rd or 4th floor but it would be nice to step out and have the car right there. If anyone can give me more info on this resort that would be great. Thanks everyone.

I cant answer about the parking situation but I am sure if you call the resortand ask them or fax them with your requests they will try and accomodate you as best they can.

I did read this about the "lock-outs vs dedicated" on another website:
"Some of the two-bedroom villas are dedicated (entities unto themselves) and some are "lockouts" meaning a one-bedroom and a studio are combined for a two-bedroom."

My suggestion would be to call the resort directly at 407-827-2248 and ask them what they suggest. DVC resorts no longer accept faxed requests, they will just throw them away. If you have a room request, such as location or floor, it needs to be added to your reservation.

My understanding is that right now, there are four buildings open, all of which face DTD, and have parking right in front. The second phase, will add an additional 8 buildings that are not facing DTD. I would call and request a water view room facing DTD on one of the higher floors, good for viewing the fireworks. You should note that the fireworks at PI are not until midnight each night.
