Saratoga Springs

We just stayed two nights at Saratoga Springs in a studio and it was really excellent. The resort is very nice. We were very impressed not only with the resort but also with how we were treated as new DVC members. A first rate experience!!

So far, we are very pleased DVC members.

Oh, gody. We will be there in a week and we are soo-- looking forward to it. We will be in a two bedroom handicapped room with my DD, DM, and DSF. So I am very happy to hear that you enjoyed it and were treated well. We are so looking forward to seeing it. I've heard that it is very impressive.

We're in the process of purchasing points and our home resort will be the SSR. Place looks great. Is there a reason that you only stayed two nights at SSR and the rest at OKW? They have 10 days on hold for us at OKW because there wasn't anything available anywhere else as of yet. On another note, how convenient is the SSR in regards to travel time to Downtown Disney? How is the main pool? As you can see we are very curious and excited about our decision to join DVC. Any info on the resort would be great. We were told that we will be in Phase 2 of the resort set to open in April 2005. Can't wait!!

We are staying the 10 nights at OKW for two reasons:

1. We need two studios since we are bringing my DMIL and the points are cheaper at OKW.

2. We didn't want to stay at SSR for that long with all of the construction going on. Now that I have been there, I do not think this would have been a problem.

3. SSR is a 10 minute walk from SSR along a very nice path. It is not like you are walking along the road. It is so short a walk that I wouldn't even consider a bus.

4. The main pool area is nice. There is a pool bar with a soda machine for refillable mugs right at poolside. The only thing is when we were there the splash area (with Donald) was not on. I have no idea why but since we didn't have the kids, we didn't ask. Also the one quiet pool that is open is very nice with a view of Pleasure Island.

5. The health club is wonderful. It is large and well-stocked.

I think you will love the place.

We stayed at Saratoga Springs Resort in August. We had a 2-bedroom. Very nice.

The room layout if very similar to the layout of the rooms over at Beach Club Villas.

As you know, there is a lot of construction going on, which will last for the next several years. It will be a beautiful resort when it is completed. In fact, it already looks great.

For those of you that have chosen SSR as your home resort, you have made a very good choice.

Went in June right after SSR opened and loved it. My kids (16,16,22) enjoyed every minute. The Cast Members were great. My kids are skateboarders and the Cast Members encouraged them to skate anywhere they wished and actually pointed them to some areas in SSR that would be good for skateboarding. Will be going back to SSR in June for 4 days - then on to Vero Beach for 3 days then back to SSR in December 2005 for 4 days. Loved the two bedroom.

This is great news! I am looking forward to our trip in December. I know I have been absent for several months but I am back and look forward to speeking to the new folk and learning whats new. Good to hear that SS is just as lovely as the other DVC resorts.

just got back from ssr on the 17th. spent 8 days there. great place. wish there was more of a menu selection at the artist's palette, maybe later on as the resort expands. we were in the building closest to dtd. it took 3 minutes to walk to the marketplace. there are several options for transportation. buses to the parks from ssr. buses to other resorts from dtd. boat to dtd from ssr. boat from ssr to okw. boat from ssr to dtd then on to pofq and por. construction of phase three will be where the villas are currently located along the 17th fairway of lbv golf course. dvc members get 10 percent off on meals at the artist's palette. all in all a great time.undefinedundefinedundefined
