DVC: Requesting frequent housekeeping service?

We're, as you know by now, renting DVC points in May. Is it possible to request more frequent housekeeping service if we're just renting? How much does it cost in addition to the cost of the room? Is it possible to have the hotel charge us for it, instead of charging the owner we're renting from?

Thanks in advance!

I believe you are able to get daily Mouskeeping if you really want it. I am not sure of the charge, or who they charge. I would imagine they would bill you since your the one that has the credit card on file for your charing privelages.

Re: DVC: Requesting frequent housekeeping service?

You can do that, but as a DVC member I don't understand why you would. It is actually quite costly to have it every day. They come in and change the trash and towels on the third day of your visit and the entire room on the seventh day if you are still there. There are washers and dryers that are free to use if you want wash anything yourself, and if you are in anything but a studio they are right in your unit.

Here are the rates for Mousekeeping services straight from the DVC website:

Housekeeping Daily Rates:
Studio/Inn Room - $25.00 per day requested
One-Bedroom - $30.00 per day requested
Two-Bedroom - $40.00 per day requested
Grand Villa - $60.00 per day requested
Trash & Towel - $10.00 per day requested.

Note: Rates are subject to change

I agree, the extra Mousekeeping is too expensive. We are stayingin a 2 bedroom this summer and for $40 I can't wipe off my own sink and make my own bed each day.

Re: DVC: Requesting frequent housekeeping service?

LOL! Thanks, guys. You're right -- every day would be way to expensive!! I had no idea it would cost that much! And I'm certainly not a neat freak. In fact, I'm kind of a slob (especially when it comes to wet towels), so that's why I was thinking of requesting an extra day or two of mousekeeping. But I think that money would be better spent on a fun meal.
